Every Day Carry

Gun is my first choice for a self-defense tool. My knife is an emergency self-defense tool; not a primary. However, if we're talking just knives, I want something with reach and a good grip. A fixed blade bowie comes to mind, but most of them are hard to draw due to the crappy sheaths. If I were to pick a folder, it would be a Spyderco Military or a Zero Tolerance 0300.

A note: if you're going to mess around with edged weapons as self-defense tools, please get some quality instruction on how to use it in that manner. It's one thing to pull your knife out and stop the attack right there due to intimidation; it's another for the guy to see your bluff or lack of skills and shank you with your own blade.
