Everyday carry?

I used to carry my SY Dogfather LE in my truck, but took it out with all the break-ins lately.

I usually carry my spyderco native on me all the time now.

I carry a thinner Game Warden and a SAK in my pockets every day. On office days, I'll often slip my BAD in my briefcase for apple/cheese/sausage duty at lunchtime. I limit my SAR-4 to weekend walks in the woods. I recently upgraded to an FBM in my car's trunk for emergencies. That pretty well covers it.

There is a Swamp Rat Crash Axe and a Cold Steel kukhri in the trunk, and a SAK in the glove box. At work, I usually carry a small slipjoint, and, strictly speaking, I shouldn't even have that. On weekends I have been carrying a BM Mini Deja Voo and a SAK Classic. Sometimes I carry a Cultie in a pocket pouch sheath.

At work, we're not "allowed" to have blades of any type on us, nor can I have one in my company car.

Many guys will carry a small slipjoint. I EDC a Skelly Warden in my pocket. I also have a Mili AD in the console of my car, and a SAR Rat buried in a tool bag under the seat. I'd like to carry more.

I never really considered a prybar of some sort in the trunk, but I think I'll throw one in.

BAD is my EDC pocket carry. ASH-1 lives with the USP 45 and SAK in the bush/fishing/bo bag in the car. The SAR tagged along with me today so I can play with it on my lunchbreak, but if I can figure out a sheath setup that's concealable with business casual, it has a good chance of EDCing.

I usually carry my Seb, and my BAD. I just picked up a GL BAD from Trevor, so I cant wait for that BAD boy to get here! I like the Seb for convienence, but when its a really tough cutting task ( hard plastic, steak on a ceramic plate, anything where S30V likes to roll/chip) I always have my BAD there to laugh it off. I have to say that INFI stay sharper, and as thin as the BAD is, it slices just as well as the hollow ground Seb.

I am lucky to also live in a state that doesnt discriminate against knife folk, so I am legally allowed to carry any size fixed blade I want (I'll have to try the FBM one day). I like having a folder on me, and depending if I am working that day or not, I'll throw the BAD on the hip. If its not on the hip, its in the side pocket of my bag.

I always keep a SASH1 in my bag, and have the utmost confidence in its ability to help in any emergency situation.

I carry my Nuclear EDC or Fallkniven F1 together with the Leatherman Skeletool. Or sometimes i keep a Spyderco Endura in my pocket.
Here, in Hungary, you just carry a knife under 3.15" blade length. /all of my knifes are above that.../:D
Or you can stay it in your bag, in a case, or in a separate packet

Green linen Fatty Game Warden is always with me, whether or not it would make an acceptable pry bar is debatable due to its length...but it has served as an awesome utility knife in all other circumstances.

Cheers,

Jon

Although it's not an EDC, if I were to encounter an accident that required chopping, cutting, or prying, this BATAC would serve such duty:

+1:thumbup:

I usually have a BAe or the BATACLE floating around in a bag, pack, case, or wherever they might fit.

Folders? Nah, too weak, too uncomfortable, and too much trouble to clean up after use (few things are as boring as cleaning the hair and blood off a folder after working on game).

I have heard this for years but something has always bothered me...how do you clean the blood, fat, and hair out of your leather sheath? If you don't it will make your knife rust later?

I have a Gerber Entrenching Tool, and Scrapper 6 in the front in my bug out pack. I have a 20" machete and a medium Wetterlings in the back in the tool box. I likewise have never seen anyone outside of law enforcement or hunting carry a fixed blade (except at the BLADE show). I always have a Spyderco Endura (or 2).

I have taken to carrying my NMFBM and a Cuttelus in the trunk of my Chevrolet. It gives me peace of mind to know that Jerry is my co-pilot:D

I carry a Folder, a GW and a flashlight. I keep a flat bar in the trunk, but I like the idea of an eastwing hatchet.

I always carry a folder and only carry fixed (almost always a Busse, Swamp Rat, or Scrapyard knife) when I know I will probably need it, like grilling out or camping for example.

This thread is only a statement that we really should have a busse folder, easier to carry and what's the point in a knife if you need it and don't have it. Better to have it and not need it then the other way around. So how about a nice folder?

for me my ash le and my culti and a swiss tool and a cally 3 some times i have my bravo and gunny but can't use that combo at the minute the gunny is with a friend for a try out

You asked what we carry on us, here goes.

Always:
Lg Classic Mayonized Sebenza in a MtMike belt sheath (tip down)

Most of the time:
SHBA in a MtMike crossdraw sheath. Sometimes the fatty A2, sometimes the thinner INFI one. Both fit nicely in the same sheath.

Rest of the time:
Older Custom Shop DC&Snake AD. Same style of sheath as the SHBA's. WAAAY lighter than the SHBA's.:D

Both the fixed and folder are carried at the same time.

There used to be an old MS in the rotation, till I jabbed a tree once. That handle did not do much to keep your fingers from sliding onto the blade.:eek: It has since moved on.;)

In my work bag, I keep my old Camp Tramp (Bag stays in the cab or in at work), and in the bed box there is a prybar, axe and other tools.

I really need a folding shovel for the box. We didn't have snow in Fl.:D

Rob

Under my truck seat is a SR Crash Axe. I do need to affix it in a sheath. I'd hate to have that thing flying around my truck in an accident.

There's also a Becker BK-3 TacTool under there.

In my console is a Spyderco D'Allara with serrated Edge. Great knife for cutting seat belts.
