I met and hung out with Jon Bon Jovi when he was just a 16 year old kid jammin' in garages, one of my cousins is Jimmy Babjak from the Smithereens.

I met Sonny Fox the host of a NY Sunday mornin' kids show, I met Paul Sorvino at a Panera Bread in Phillipsburg NJ a few years back.

My Mom knew Charles Bronson and knows Jay Lenno, that's about it, who did ya meet or do ya know?

I've met Clyde Drexler at a NBC studio...One of my friends in college knew the brother of a member of group Deep Blue Something. I hung out with them in their tour bus for a bit after a show in San Antonio.

Had a friend that went to the same high school as Denzel Washington.

I don't meet famous people, they meet me.

That's what I like, a confident person, there are too many people who follow the masses, sheep if ya will, not enough people who are confident enough to go their own way.

Good for you sir one day I'll be in yor neck of the woods and if it's ok with you maybe we can meet, I'll let ya buy me a drink of lunch, (Freudian slip, I meant or lunch:o).

My twin boys Christopher and Killian Shreenan did a movie called "The Man From Elysian Fields" aproximately in 2002 or so. Andy Garcia produced and starred in it. My twins played his son in a few scenes. The original son could not finish the production, so they took my boys to finish the shooting. I met Andy Garcia in a backyard of a house on set in Silverlake. Killian and I were trying to stay out of the way of the production crew, so we were on the back lawn. Killian stepped in dog dookie, so I got some hot water and napkins to wipe it off his shoes. As I was all stinky with dirty napkins, Andy walked by and said to me it is a pleasure working with my boys. He held out his hand but I could not shake it. Julianna Margolis was at the wrap party, and I lit her cigarette. She was quite sleek, but knew it. Andy was great, and plays bongo drums in a Cuban band, which played at the party. My kids met Lee Marvin on that set, and wondered who the scruffy old man was. I did not realize who they were talking about til I watched the movie.

I also got to meet Ray Liotta on the pier of Santa Monica.

I sat with Sex in the City's Brunette Kristen Davis with her dogs and taught her how to use her home irrigation controller (our brand) at her house in the Hollywood Hills.

Charlize Theron has one too, and I have been to her house, but she was not there. Her landcape is pretty awesome. She has some orchids attached to her palm tree trunks, and sprinklers that irrigate from 20' in the air to provide humidity for the orchids.

That is all for me.

Between jobs I took a job delivering pizza in downtown Detroit. I would deliver BBQ beef sandwiches to Aretha Franklin just about every Thursday. She lived in the Riverfront Towers.

Met Detroit Tiger Kirk Gibson at a little league/Inner city baseball camp. Had his autograph but lost it long ago.

Traveling for a huge company gives one quite a few opportunities to meet people.

I ran into Richard Petty at a rental car desk in New Orleans. I was there for the NACE trade show and he was there as a sponsor/spokesman for one of the vendors.

I work for DuPont so I've met Jeff Gordon a few times.

I met Keith Jackson (not the announcer but the former Miami Dolphin) at Don Shula's hotel in Miami.

At NACE in Vegas I met and got to BS with George Barris (creater of the Monkee Mobile, Bat Mobile, Dragula, Munster Mobile, Beverly Hillbillies Swamp Rat, etc.).

At the same NACE show we had a keynote speaker, Jimmy Morris. The pitcher that the movie The Rookie was based on. After his speech I was acting photographer for his book signing and autograph session. I do still have my autographed copy of the book but never got my pic taken with him.

I flew home from LA one night, coach. I'm 6' 2" and the guy next to me was probably 4" or 5" taller. Huge guy. After take off he and a few other guys got up and went to the back of the plane to stand up because they didn't fit in the seats. I got up to use the restroom and ran into him. Turns out the entire Harlem Globetrotters team was on the flight. Got an autographed team pic. Some of the nicest guys you could ever want to meet.

I met Will Castro, owner of Unique Autosport and lead guy on the TV show Unique Whips on Speed. He came to where I work for one of the episodes for training. I show up in this video at about 5:40. I'm the guy painting the front clip.

Back in 1990 I met Mr T. He was walking down Huron Street in Chicago by himself. No chains or bizarre clothes, just the famous mo-hawk and jogging suit. I asked what he was doing and he replied that he sneaks in to the childrens cancer ward at Northwest Memorial to try and cheer them up.
I thought was pretty cool of him. No press, no assistants, just there on his own time doing a good thing.

I met Harrison Ford when he was filming a scene from The Fugitive at my (then) father in-laws restaurant. (the scene was cut) Very soft-spoken and humble man.
Met Helen Hunt and Ray Liotta at the same place while filming a scene for some other movie.

I went to school with actor Ron Silver (Stuyvesant HS Class of 63). I also hung around with actress Patty McCormick ("The Bad Seed") as a teenager. She lived around the block (53rd St) from me in Brooklyn. Both nice people as I recall.

I met Len Bias. A family friend got me into the locker room for my 12th or 13th birthday. Met the man and shook his hand. Shortly thereafter, he was dead. R.I.P. Len. We'll see you again. This guy was my hero.

Do knife fighting instructors count? :D

How about porn stars? :p

Notorious criminals?

Anyhow, I guess I met a few semi-famous folks here and there. The few that I recall offhand:

Gilligan (Bob Denver). He is kind of a dick. Was banned from every bar within a 50 mile radius.

Yoko Ono. Very weird lady. Gets high with hired help whose names she doesn't know and travels with 4 armed bodyguards.

Elvira (Cassandra Peterson). Plastic, phony poseur bitch.

Joan Jett. Very cool lady, even if she is crazy and doesn't like guys.

I think it would be awesome to go hunting with Ted Nugent.

My brother-in-law did that. Cost him a pretty penny for a boar hunt with Uncle Ted at his place in Jackson Co. Proceeds went to his Camp For Kids so it was for a good cause. I've never met him but I have seen him speak at the annual Outdorrrama hunting and fishing show in Novi, MI. In fact I still have his autographed copy of God, Guns and Rock & Roll I need to get back to him.:o (my BIL, not Ted).

He used to own an Archery shop about an hour west of me. I stopped by a couple times but never ran into him there.

I met Jacques Yves Cousteau, the famous oceanographer and co-inventor of the aqualung, back in the 60's at the Los Angeles Museum of Science and Industry. I was 12 or 13 at the time. I was thrilled because I had just finished reading his book The Living Sea. Someplace or other I think I still have his autographed picture.

I went to Blade Show this last year. Not sure if you would call them famous in the same sense as an actor but I met plenty of the industries top guys. The list for who I met is quite extensive and I recommend it to anyone who digs blades.

That being said I have also met Wes Wilson. He is considered by many to be the father of phycadellic rock posters. Great guy who took the time to sit with an want to be artist.

I have also met Lou Ferrigno. This man is friggin massive but a wonderful person to speak with.

Got to meet a few when i was working at a TV station, let's see...

Got to meet Ben Harper and had a little chat with him very cool but shy person.
Meet the boys from Greenday in their lodge and hang-out after the show.

Meet Hulk Hogan and The Giant Ferre, lost my hand when the giant shook it...
Meet John Travolta and shaked hands after an interview
Played a quick game of aki sack with Steve Irwin "The Crocodile Hunter"

That's pretty much it.

We got to get to another NJKCA meeting! I've been missing too many myself.

i've also met John Lithgow. in an elevator of all places , nice guy. he took the time to say hello and thanked us for watching his shows.

I'm a New Yorker. We have so many celebrities in town that we have a habit of allowing them their privacy, not making a big deal out of running across them when they're going about their lives.

I was in an elevator one day when a woman got on. She was pissed off about something so I stared straight ahead but out of the corner of my eye I realized this was Lauren Bacall. She got off at her agent's office and we could hear her giving him hell as soon as she hit the door.

Leave them alone, don't get in the middle of it! :p
