Everyone knows or has met someone famous, who did you meet or know?

I met Chris Reeve at the Plaza Cutlery knife show in the O.C. I also met Rob 5.5.6 and Matt Gundude. I think they are all famous.

My brother-in-law did that. Cost him a pretty penny for a boar hunt with Uncle Ted at his place in Jackson Co. Proceeds went to his Camp For Kids so it was for a good cause. I've never met him but I have seen him speak at the annual Outdorrrama hunting and fishing show in Novi, MI. In fact I still have his autographed copy of God, Guns and Rock & Roll I need to get back to him.:o (my BIL, not Ted).

He used to own an Archery shop about an hour west of me. I stopped by a couple times but never ran into him there.

Hey Rupestris, Urban legend has it down in our neck of the woods that Nugent always plays a New Year's Eve concert in Michigan but it is never advertised, kind of an underground in-the-know type event. Any truth to this, or just another urban legend that follows the Great White Buffalo ??
Be safe.

I don't meet famous people, they meet me.

I don't meet famous people, they try to run me over with their cars.

A long time ago I was crossing the street to get to the H. Salt Esq. in No. Hollywood and Ernest Borgnine almost hit me with his Mercedes. We walked into the store together and he apologized. He didn't buy me dinner though. (Cheapskate) :D

I met Blues and Bastid at Blade this year........It does not get better than that......:D

Also met...........

Nelson Mandela
PW Botha
FW de Klerk
Madeline Albright
Congressman Larry McDonald (His folks were our next door neighbors in Atlanta......terrible tragedy)
Gary Player
Col. Rex Applegate....I was lucky enough to chat with him for 20 mins at SHOT in '98

I remember meeting Col James Irwin when I was young, eighth man to walk on the moon Apollo 15. He got to hunt for four billion year old moon rocks.

I have met some others, but vividly remember this man.

I went to highschool with this guy. My dad is in the Guinness Book of World Records. That's about it.

While I was in the service, I was stationed at Fort Monmouth, NJ in the early 70's.
We'd drive down to Asbury Park for a little R&R.
The Stoned Pony for music, and the Empire Lounge for cheap beer and a couple of games of nine ball.
We would drink a beer or two, on occasion, with members of Sprinsteen's E-Street band.

I've met some local news anchors. I did get to meet Ronald McDonald when I was about three, my preschool went to Baltimore and participated in a March of Dimes "jump". I have a picture somewhere. I don't think he was the REAL Ronald McDonald though ;) :D.

Ted Nugent (during two of his hunting trips here)
Robert Cray (when he was performimg here in Aberdeen)
John Wayne (when he was here in Aberdeen filming a movie)
the band Nirvana (they were from here in Aberdeen)
Tom Cruise (when he was here in Aberdeen promoting a movie)

There have been others I've met, but these stand out.

5.5.6 is my body double. The real 5.56 is far too famous to venture out into the public.

And I've met Glenn Danzig and Jack Black. Cool dudes.

So I guess the autograph I got from your double is useless then. :(

I met Sargent and Eunice Shriver about 18 years ago when I worked in a camera store that was a block from the White House. They bought two camcorders from me. One for them and one as a gift. Then they came back in on a Saturday and had me show them how to use em'. Nice people.

If the autograph was free, it wasn't me.

And quit following me around, it's bad enough I have to deal with the paparazzi.
:p

There was an excellent article on how to stalk famous people in the National Enquirer. I am well read. Prac Tac may be my primary source of valuable information, but I have been known to think outside the box.

I served her dinner by the pool at a resort I worked at, and dropped off an amenity to her room after she had arrived.

She's the only one that I really remember, but the president of Kosovo, a few Fortune 500 CEOs, a couple of billionaires in the Scottsdale area, the whole entire season of American Idol contestants (twice) when they were on tour around the world (lame)...

and Robin Williams - he had an incredibly loud voice.

I had a bizarre discussion with Perry Farrell (Janes Addiction) at a rehab I was volunteering at, Met Scott Weiland as well.

I loved Jane's addiction. You should start a thread about that conversation.

Was in Washington National & saw Lombardi talking with -a priest in the late 60's. I waited patiently until my filght to Chicago was announced. Excused myself into their conversation & asked for an autograph for my son. He took out a pen but I had no paper. Asked him to autograph a $20 & he declined, saying it was illegial to deface money. I assured him it would not get back in circulation. To my knowledge,my son still has it.

My wifes family lived next to the Kilchers in Homer, AK (the folk/pop music singer) and spent a few christmas and thanksgiving at their home...I met the Kilchers but not Jewel.

I was on a flight with Danny DeVito from Auckland to LAX and was mistaken for his body guard lol. Also was at a bar in LAX having a drink and something to eat with heather locklear just over from me and my wife.
