Everyone should have a BK 2

To the OP: Yes, yes they should. The BK2 i have, has saved it's Becker brothers on more than a few occasions. I have gotten 2 Beckers stuck---but good, while batoning the "firewood from satan's forest" as someone called it. I had to take the BK2 & baton it in, point first, by batoning the extended tang directly into the tough spot. It has worked every time. I had to do the same here only with the BK10LE. Another with the BK2. Ethan sure knew WTF he was doing when he designed his blades.

Oh snap ! No you didn't get a HHLW sheath ! Post up lots-o-pics when you get it. In fact, do a review. :D

I know I spied that beauty in the corner of the photo also. I bought a bk2 because of that sheath. It's what got me into becker knives in the first place.

Just to throw my two cents in the wishing well, My next Becker will probably be a 2 already picked up a 14 and a 16 (love my Esk'y to death and the 16 just joined the party today). The excuse of "I already have so many knives close to that size" (USMC Ka-Bar, Cattarugus 225Q, Buckmaster, etc.) Just isn't cutting it anymore lol. I suppose that will lead to a 9 which in turn will lead to a 4 and then poverty lol. well at least Ill be a hobo with knives to last a few lifetimes :)

Newbie here!
Yeah I'm getting back into picking up some useful knives after several years.
Now my Kids are grown and I don't hafta worry about em stealing or ruining my stuff.
I picked up a SOG Tactical Tomahawk....Black Friday last year Walmart....$10!!
Few weeks ago friend at work sold me his extra NEW SOG Seal Pup Elite.
Then all this week we have been drooling over the BK2 so I had to have one!
I got it from Knifehog.com for $63.98 shipped cheapest new I found anywhere.
I'm in search of unique laminated scales for it to make it a functional work of art.
Hoping to find something like pictured that this gun stock is made of!!

Check with TommyTheWho on here. He makes some wicked looking scales for knives.

Other option of course is you make them. Mycarta isn't that hard to make, Just shape.

Already on it!
After much reading in the shadows here I figured that out.
I've seen some of His work and hope to have Him do up some for me soon.

Ok rookie question.....
Why do they call em scales and not handles?
IMHO scales sounds kinda dumb!

I don't know. If I had to guess it would be the handle is the part of the blade you hold, and scales are the non metal part. It is probably like how fish scales are on the outside of the fish (bad analogy but only thing I could come up with.)
