I was just courious to see what everyones favorite folder is out there, not necessarily for edc, but in general for any and all applications.
mine happens to be my benchmade 806-701 AFCK with s30v and carbon fiber scales. although I do not and have not owned many quality folders, out of the eight or so I have owned that would be my favorite. It is a little on the large side so I usually do not edc it, but i love the blade steel, it is very comfy in hand and I love the look of it, plus AXIS locks own.
I am also very fond of my Manix, for similar reasons, i'm not afraid to use it hard and it is very replaceable compaired to the AFCK. I like it more than the ZT 0301 I had, because it is still a tank of a knife, but with a more useable blade, plus there is no coating to scratch off.
I am also quite happy with my mini grip, the 154cm sheeps foot 555 I believe. To me, that is the perfect edc, small, but big where it counts.
Overall, I've come to prefer plain edge knives with no coatings, I like G-10 and CF alot, and at this point I would have to say that s30v is my favorite blade steel.
My "to buy" list includes: BM 710, BM 210, BM 42, BM 143, BM 806D2 (I really like Benchmades), Kershaw Taboo depending on the blade steel, ZT 302, and possibly a Classic Sebenza of some kind
Anyways, lets here your opinions
