I was just courious to see what everyones favorite folder is out there, not necessarily for edc, but in general for any and all applications.

mine happens to be my benchmade 806-701 AFCK with s30v and carbon fiber scales. although I do not and have not owned many quality folders, out of the eight or so I have owned that would be my favorite. It is a little on the large side so I usually do not edc it, but i love the blade steel, it is very comfy in hand and I love the look of it, plus AXIS locks own.

I am also very fond of my Manix, for similar reasons, i'm not afraid to use it hard and it is very replaceable compaired to the AFCK. I like it more than the ZT 0301 I had, because it is still a tank of a knife, but with a more useable blade, plus there is no coating to scratch off.

I am also quite happy with my mini grip, the 154cm sheeps foot 555 I believe. To me, that is the perfect edc, small, but big where it counts.

Overall, I've come to prefer plain edge knives with no coatings, I like G-10 and CF alot, and at this point I would have to say that s30v is my favorite blade steel.

My "to buy" list includes: BM 710, BM 210, BM 42, BM 143, BM 806D2 (I really like Benchmades), Kershaw Taboo depending on the blade steel, ZT 302, and possibly a Classic Sebenza of some kind

Anyways, lets here your opinions:)

I have a LWT Calypso Jr. that's an every day, everywhere knife that weighs nearly nothing and does almost everything I need a knife for, in the city.

My Favorite folder is my Parker Edwards damascus 2 blade with bone handles. It is not a trapper style about 3 inches closed I guess really just a nice little pocketknife. I probably should not carry it as I am sure I have lost any value it has as a collectible knife. But it is just so tempting to actually use it that I have not been able to resist

My favorite folder is different all the time. Today it was a Camillus stag handled, single blade, lockback, from the Ft. Lauderdale Gun & knife Show. After a couple of laps around the joint, I declared it Best in Show. The guy wouldn't come down a penny and I still considered it a bargain.

my avatar-yunaknives hard 2 prototype-zdp laminated blade- unreal how well it fits my hand, shows enough character to say-i am really hand made-no puters used-

Spyderco Ocelot I picked up at a knife show new for 70 dollars. It's a solid knife with VG10 and is sheeple friendly with the cats paws machined into the G-10.

For sometime now my favorite has been this Wharncliffe Trapper made by Joel Chamblin. It doesn't get used hard, but it gets used. I have a lot of folders but this one always finds its way into my pocket.

I really like my Northwoods #4 Scagel; as I reduce my collection, this one I plan on hanging on to ! :

This one has been a real joy to carry and use.
So much so that I even have two of them!

But my favorite one is my Custom Shoppe Buck 110 (nickle-silver, BG-42, and asian waterbuffalo horn scales).

Heres mine, in fact it's the only folder I have right now. Strider SnG Gen5 tanto blade, with a gen6 frame. Rare as hell, and I already ruined the "collectors value" by reprofiling it. It's the closest I could get to a folding Razel.

Favorite EDC folders- a Kane Kutlery scout from Betram Cutlery

and a large swell center moose from Vintage Knives

One of my overall favorites is this 3 1/2" Hen & Rooster congress

I just got a ZT 0200 and I love it! A monster of a knife. But since it's so big I don't actually carry it much.

The knife I end up carrying constantly, out of the office, is my Microtech mini-soccom elite PE. Love that knife! Light, great blade-to-handle ratio, great blade shape.

BUT, around the house the knife that actually gets used for the most cutting duties is my little Boker Trance - a great cutter & utility blade, I can't say enough about how impressed I am with this design.

Arathol, that Hen & Rooster is gorgeous!
