Everyones favorite folder!!!

To me, you just can't beat a Swiss Army Knife. I prefer the Victorinox Huntsman. With that, I also carry one of these at all times: Emerson CQC-8, Spyderco Military, Spydero Endura or Boker Trance.

I've got a bunch of Benchmades and favor my 745. It's a wonderful blade mixed with really great G-10 handles. The deep pocket clip makes the knife disappear and as an option switched the silver clip out for a matte black one from BM. Less flashy that way. Great Bob Lum design!

My favorite folder is my SOG Tomcat 3.0. I love the slight recurve shape in the blade, and I love the Arc-lock.
The combination of the sheer beefy size of this knife and the arc-lock make this knife almost like a "folding fixed blade", if there ever was such a thing.
It is quite beefy but sits nice in the the bottom of the pocket.
It's blade is VG-10 and its handle scales are Kraton

Locking: Byrd Cara Cara in G10. The ergos fit me extremely well, very rugged construction, after reprofiling flat to the stone it's one of the better slicers in my collection. The middle positioned lockback is my lock of choice on a locking folder. Very nice bladesteel on this one, though it's slightly more prone to rusting than other knives I own.

Non-Locking: Victorinox Farmer. Nice alox scales, beefy blade with nice snap to the backspring and good geometry behind the edge, good assortment of tools, comfortable handle size and thickness, very useful and versatile.

Currently my favourite folder is a large micarta inlaid Sebenza.

A CF Military and large model 2 Obenauf run a close second though.

I guess I have to go with what keeps finding its way back into my pocket after I try to carry something else, the Benchmade 710 HSSR. Wish I got the 710HS as I'm not a big fan of serrations. But there's just something about this knife.

You initially asked about our favorite folder considering usefulness and application. In that respect it would have to be my Buck 313 Muskrat that I purchased in 1972 which, I believe, was the first year of issue.

While I have Benchmades, Spydercos etc. and quite a few fixed blades I still find my Muskrat to be the most useful.

It has a spey blade a "Turkish" clip blade and between the two they are able to tackle just about any cutting chore that arises in my life. I'm guessing that after 35 years of usage and sharpening my blades are now smaller than when purchased but they sure do the job.

After a few days in the case I put it in my pocket and don't plan to take it out any time soon..Used it today to cut some flowers for my wife..

One of my 3 Mayo's (small/medium/xlarge). No matter what else I carry there's just about always a Mayo in my pocket.

Locking: Suppose it's this large Sebenza.

As far as non-locking, it's my Vic Deluxe Tinker.

I cant choose just one , but one of these 3 is always is my pocket , Strider AR , Strider PT , Case/Bose 2000 Millenium Trapper.

My favorite folder? Probably my SE Dodo. It doesn't see the most use but it can tackle tasks few other knives can.

Last few days it has been a BM 710D2. It feels good in the hand, and really cuts. Before that it was a large micarta sebenza.
