First CRK knife in the collection. Had to see what all the fuss is about. It’s definitely well made and I like it but it’s still team Hinderer over here

I'm afraid Hinderer has me hooked, for right now. I bought a XM-18 3.5 Slicer a couple of months ago that I liked so much, I almost immediately started thinking about the next RH knife. I received this Eklipe 3.5 today from Hinderer and after about an hour in and out of the pocket, I may like it better than the XM. I've only had the knife vice a few years and am very new to higher end knives, but I've learned two things: You can do all the research but you never really know about a knife until it's in your hand. And with the more premium knives, the search can be almost as satisfying as the unboxing.

I only have one. An XM-18 3.5 spear point bronze ti, but I'm itching for a slicer. Or an Eklipse, or a Project X, or an XM-24 Harpoon Spanto, or Wharncliff, or Bowie, or...

Oh god, I have the sickness.

Today's Mail Call
One each of my Top 3 favorite pattern of Case folders to add to my collection. My first, and probably last, Rough Rider in my favorite folder pattern. I like fat blades and I cannot lie! I read a few reviews on RRs that weren't too hate so I decided to give one a shot. Guess I've turned into a GEC snob because I am not that impressed with the RR. But then again I could purchase 15 RR Sunfish for the price I paid for my Whaler. Its a decent blade for its cost- it came super sharp with no play in the blade but I can tell a HUGE difference in build between it and my GEC and Case. It'll be my EDC that'll take a beating and I'll only be out $30, all in, if it doesn't hold up.

Some of you may have seen where I bought an inkosi and it ended up having my son's 5th birthday on the card so I bought another one for me. Well mine just arrived and check out the dates. Bought from 2 separate stores on different days. Blade HQ and Knife joy. Can't get any luckier than this.

If it was March 15th I'd be all over your to sell me one, LOL. I have a couple of birthday knives, a REK Sparrow and a Benchmade Goldbox Oeser Tengu flipper in Damasteel and Bifrost fat carbon fiber. My nephew was born on the 14th, and our cat born on the 13th

I have a CRK for my mom's birthday, son's birthday, older daughter's birthday, but traded my anniversary DOB S31 + cash for a Shirogorov F3 Aquatic. Kinda sad about that.

Incoming today!

* Hinderer XM-18 Harpoon Spanto (non-skinny) in S45VN and blue G10 scales. I have a nice Ti scale to install on this over the weekend. It's great to flip, thumb flick, and reverse flick too! Thanks paratom !
* Holt Bladeworks Renegade in M390 and milled anodized green Ti with purple anodized clip and hardware.

Can't say I'd be able to part with a Anniversary DOB if I ever came across one. That's kinda rough.

My REK PM2 S90V re-blade with Akhmedov Aramis scales and REK clip is scheduled to be assembled/born on our anniversary in August, since that's when they're supposed to be going together anyways. I should try to get it back, but I think he might have sold it at blade show Texas.
