Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Just came home to this. The anno is actually an amazing shade of purple but with the mirror finish it doesn't photograph well and picks up fingerprints so fast. This is going to be an adventure keeping clean.

Held off on picking one of these up for awhile because I just wasn't sure about the whole aesthetic. I love to be proved wrong.

The action is glass - another ZT on PB washers (0640 being the other) that makes me wish they would do this a whole lot more. Ergos are perfect for my hand. Cutting performance is really good - really similar to other tall flatground ZT blades like the 0095. It's also light - way lighter than I was expecting, especially for ZT. The mostly CF frame with the small steel insert on the lock side and the sub-frame Ti lock work perfectly. Interesting design choice from Sinkevich / Rexford. I also don't typically like milled clips that much, but this one is spot-on. Maybe the best ZT clip I've used.

I think they nailed it with this one. My favorite ZTs are the ones that aren't boring, and I should have picked this one up sooner.

Been doing some idle trawling through the Bay, and got my hands on this from one of the reputable dealers I work with a lot:

A pretty neat new knife from the guys at Cooper Cutlery who bought all of Queen's old machines and name brands. A big neat cutter with an aluminum integral handle, which is pretty nifty.

There were a lot of questions about Cooper when that knife was released in 2022. The Big Chief was listed in the SMKW catalogs as being made in China....and some of Coopers other knives seem to have been made in Germany, and others with "imported parts".....

Yep, this one's tube says it's made here of domestic and imported parts. Given how simple it is, I'm not sure what parts they'd have had made elsewhere but given it was a very inexpensive purchase, I'm alright with it. If anything, I now want to find an original Queen Big Chief to compare it to!

Been looking at these for a while for a new deer hunting knife, and I finally decided to treat myself for $26.95 and man I am glad I did! This thing is awesome, thin blade stock and super slicey, and scary sharp out of the box like most Buck knives. The rubber handle is very grippy, feels good in the hand. Exactly what I was looking for, perfect for a hunting/ fishing general outdoors knife.

From the great Maestro Vincenzo Balistreri. He calls this one "Snap Dagger" and it's done in anodized Ti with Mammoth scales and RWL34 blade hardened to 58 HRC. It's got a slight assist in the opening mechanism with a liner lock. I usually don't like that, but it's very light on this one. This is my 5th Balistreri now and definitely not my last. Between he and Tinus Stone I've really found a home for what I like.
