Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Look great, I like it. Smith & Son’s has intrigued me for a while but I’ve not picked one up yet. The Shoal, Axiom, and Brave models all look really good to me.
I agree. This is my first S&S pick up, and this model seemed like a safe bet at only $190. And 3.5" fixed blades are the sweet spot for me. And I love burlap micarta. These are easily worth the price.
I'm thinking of trying another one of their offerings. Maybe the Comanche or the Delta. Both are bigger knives and closer to $300, so not as much of a value proposition. Still debating...

Super light weight and a true Kwaiken.
Traditional Japanese knives have a kisaki. It's where the main grind transfers into the tip, & the geometry changes slightly.
The American tanto is a massively exaggerated version of this.
You can see it on the Williams. It's a straight run of blade, then it stops & sharply transfers into the kisaki. The kisaki also has the gently sloped profile. Idk how Lionsteel does that on their grinder, as it would be really hard to produce. They get it right though. And add in the integral CF lock. I really like this blade.

Yeah, you’ve got me thinking about going ahead and picking up the Axiom 😂

That thing is just plain sexy!

^^^ That is a very handsome knife. Well done! Btw, curious, can you front flip those also?
Almost, maybe 80% open with the front flip attempt, but can't get enough speed and momentum for it to open all the way. But it's better than trying to open a Shaman or CRK front flipper style.

I was trying to share my latest cool knife from redsquid2 but I reached my max attachments. Looking into it. Cool knife with sculpted micarta handles, clipped AEBL.
He has good bargains on user knives. Pic of it in the exchange still shows.

She'd love to do that. Our honeymoon was a 2 week trip through the Canadian and US Rocky Mountains, with one suitcase and one internal frame camping backpack each. It was a lot of hiking mixed in with luxury hotels.

She and her best friend are going to Peru for 2 weeks this October, because she wants to see places, not buy things. I'm a little too disabled with my lung disease to go on this trip where they will be at very high elevation at times, such as places like Lake Titicaca at 12,500 feet. One trip they might do is 17K feet, and we live at 6666 feet.

Hiking through nature accented by luxury hotels sounds like a winning combination.

Also... knives are therapeutic. Doesn't your wife understand that you're out there on the forefront taking bullets for us? Clearly, you're an explorer and all of this is purely academic ;)

(But seriously, she sounds like a great lady).
