I've been looking for an affordable tank of a knife to beat up on camping trips, and after trying its little brother (too small for my mitts!) I settled on the Kershaw Cryo II, BlackWash.

This knife really punches above its price tag. Fit and finish, overall quality, and ergonomics outstrip plenty of more expensive knives that I've handled.

I've stayed away from assisted-opening knives for a few years now (I prefer manual), but in the Cryo it feels like a good choice -- a way to get solid, pleasing flipping action at a low price point.
