Picked this beauty up right here on the BFKE a couple weeks ago. It’s a 2021 Large Sebenza 31 black micarta inlay model in S35VN. It’s going to be a user for me. It will be my primary 2025 EDC starting January 1st. She will get more pocket time than any one of the others. “The go to”

Great knife, OUTSTANDING guitarist!
 
Cold Steel Recon Tanto found its way under the tree for me. This is the SK5 version on sale from Knife Center with the OD Green handle. I used it to clear some branches on a downed tree from Helene and it worked about as well as I could ask of a 7” blade. I’m planning to clear the rest of the branches before breaking down the main body. I’ll reserve final judgment until that’s done.

I would normally use a heavily modified Cold Steel Barong 12” machete. I’ve been using that poor thing since 2011, so I’m very familiar with it and know how to use it for best effect. I wouldn’t want to compare another knife for the same tasks without some practice.
