Picked up the MIM clip from CRK to try out and a new lanyard. Also picked up a ladybug in k390 and got the wife a purple ladybug in vg10. She lost hers a year or 2 ago. She lit up when she opened the box.

I know I said my huge Tom Krein grail was the only knife for 2025, but that was a total lie.
New from Vehement Knives, two custom Foremen and a Loveless Hideout. The custom Foremen were an instant DLT sellout, and I was able to snag the mammoth one in the first eight or nine seconds, and somehow the firedog canvas was nobody's first choice, and I was able to snag that one as well, which is exactly the same way I got the firedog canvas K2 last year. I knew I needed to try for the matching Foreman!
All CPM154. Both Foremen are Matt's "Satin Tigerlypse" acid etch finish. Firedog canvas micarta with black and white liners and mosaic pins, mammoth ivory with red liners and mosaic pins. Hideout was a TAD exclusive, gloss natural micarta over red liners with a brass guard.

The final haul of this week! My preorder Carothers EDCs in stonewashed MagnaCut and double-black linen micarta with blue fasteners and Pirtlemade crossdraw sheath in black and brown shark trim, and a satin with hollow-ground swedge MagnaCut with vintage crusty IP micarta and brown Pirtle multicarry sheath with brown alligator trim and Mummert clip.

Well they finally hooked me on the new Spyderco PD#1
I kept glancing at them (because they DO LOOK VERY NICE ) but each time I would say to my self : nope, don't need another Spyderco in that model (fill in the blank _______) , etc., etc., etc.
Then it came to me !
Like a message burnt across the sky from Bob :
Many years ago now when I bought a Ladybug in purple, VG-10 for she who must be obeyed I carried it a couple of days first because I thought I NEEDED one in purple .
Alas the shade of purple wasn't right for my super macho image (
) so I demurred .
SWMBO loved the color and so all was well
for a time
then the Manbug came out and I really wanted a purple one but not "that" purple .
Five Manbugs later , each one , alas , not in purple and the message on high , brought me to the brink . . .
I FINALLY realized which PD#1 I NEEDED !
Got it today.
It is just the right color .
Image crisis averted .
PS : such a nice edge on it too, great ergonomics for small tasks . . .
