Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Trade just arrived from the exchange (thank you ac3boyz ac3boyz !). My first Hinderer, and I must say I am quite pleased. Action is superb, especially being a frame lock, which has been known on occasion to cause me angst. So the first good sign was, right out of the box, it flipped right open without having to fiddle to find just the right grip. Easy, super smooth, but solid and firm. Perfect.

But the one thing I’ve always disliked about Hinderers is the drapes not matching the curtains. Most of the ones I’d seen until now, the clip side is plain stainless or something not matching the show side that to me just looks unfinished. That’d be ok for a budget brand, but not for the kind of money these command. I never realized different finishes were available for the clip side, and in most cases matching scales. Seeing that applied to this particular knife is what pushed me off the fence to give it a shot. Well, that and the AB iMamba that the trader here was looking for (and ironically was actually purchased from this same trader last year) has been sitting in a nice cushy pouch in my drawer the whole time. Worst case, I’m trading one safe queen for another.

Anyway … without further ado, I give you my new RHK hollow ground slicer.

I know ! ! ! What is with all those other guys that make flippers that don't flip ? ? ?
Hell I have one that I finally had to smooth out and polish the ball detent side of the blade just so it would do what , on paper , it should do from the maker . And the blade steel was so good it was flattening the ball before I smoothed the blade ; "FILING AWAY THE DETENT BALL !"

Oh now that is enlightening and helpful to me !
THANK YOU !
Same here . Too plain and industrial on that back side for my taste .

Glad you are pleased with the new beauty !
