Everyone's latest acquisitions!

So as soon as the show finished, I went to 2nd shift to train a new guy, so I never got to update about the show! OD Green/Black Camo, Day Glo AmeraGrip (Medium Greenish), Blue paper, and stabilized Buckeye Burl and Red g10 guard were the ones that sold. One of the MBBO with pink/red/white camo G10 handles was handled very often as well as an orange handled MBBO and a medium blue burlap MBBO. The funky Green G10 and natty canvas FBBO in Magnacut were also popular.

Overall table shot. 6 Antique Nihonto and 40 knives, plus the case of sheaths and strops on the table!

MBBO's. OD Green/Black camo Reverse tanto and the blue paper/copper pins spear point sold. Pink camo was handled a LOT, even by guys. The Reverse tanto in marbled carbon fiber and blue burlap RT were also handled a lot:

Almost sold the tiffany blue one to a lady with a tiffany blue jacket on...told her she needed to accessorize! LOL Bottom one with the Day Glo Greenish Ameragrip handle sold:

Put bigger/prettier ones on this step display. Damascus, hand polished magnacut, S90V, etc:

Some FBBO and some other 4" fixies here in the back. The 4" ones got VERY little handling. People liked the FBBO, but most handled the MBBO smaller model:

These caught the eyes a lot, too, especially the pink ones and the smaller one on the right. Blue handled one on the left was donated to an auction and the buckeye burl/red G10 handle Warnie was sold.

Top 2 here got handled a lot in the Magnacut Rack!

People commented about the sheath colors that were available, too! Wife was there and organized the sheaths by color, so that was a nice attention grabber!

The 6 slot newer racks I lasered worked MUCH better than the Space Invader stands! Got 5 or 6 knives displayed in a small space and I would use one of the top spaces for the spec cards or aluminum price cards. Much easier for people to pick up and put back onto those than the space invader individual stands and were more stable. Going to drop the Magnacut FBBO's lower price wise as well as the S90V MBBO to 250 for either, too for these. The Magnacut I used was at the older prices, so I will keep the prices lower until I order newer stuff at the higher price. For basic models that I have multiples off, just different blade shapes/handle material, doing 1 card was easier than the individual cards. Non models get the individual cards.

I am going to be working on 4 damascus pocket fixies tomorrow (from that billet of HHH Knives Randy Haas Ladder pattern, 3/16" thick at the front of the table); cutting out, profiling and skeletonizing the tangs, hoping to HT on Friday or Saturday morning! They will most likely not have handle scales and will be coated with Matt Zyla's clear ceramic coating, too, to protect the etching and from rusting/wear! Kinda a minimalist pocket fixie similar in size to the MBBO, hoping to do leather in the pocket sheaths. The coating should prevent kydex scratches too, so I may do kydex and leather for those.

PS...the swords got a LOT of attention! LOL.

Looks great....👌👌👌

Whenever I have endured a bitter disappointment from a knife purchase, such as that which came with a recent acquisition (and subsequent return) of a Microtech Socom Bravo Mini, I usually endeavor to remedy the accompanying melancholy with another purchase. Which I did. I’d had this Begg Knives Galaxy on my wish list for a good while, and decided it could be what I needed to lift me out of those doldrums. Which it did. At about a third of the price of that cursed Microtech, Mr. Begg certainly delivered. Fit and finish are excellent, but the real beauty is in the action. It just flies open with an easy spydieflick, drops shut with just enough force on the button lock, yet the detent is stiff enough to keep it from opening with even the most violent shaking. Lockup is solid, with zero wobble in any direction. Once again I am thoroughly impressed with a relatively budget knife.
