Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Since I got into collecting early in the year, it’s a drug. I got 3 Emerson’s on the way, a strider, a few more spydercos and Hinderer.

I’m so blessed to be at this stage of my life where I can go, yeah, I can buy that. I guess it’s better than gambling, drugs, or other vices?

My excuse to the better half is my knives have a better resell value than used cocaine!

My wife is native, Hispanic and Irish. She likes war hammers, staves and tomahawks. I forgot to get her this at bladeshow. And I didn’t take a pic of the maker. So as long as I keep her happy with something like this, no questions ever arise. My wife is actually pretty awesome. I buy a lot of dumb shit and she never says one word to me as long as the bills are paid.

Mine . . . kind of ambiguous
I open a new 3.5 or 4 inch knife to show her the nice blade finish or handle scales and she says : oooooo put that away ! I don't want to see big knives !
Then she goes in the kitchen and uses stuff like this . . . the middle knife is her's !
First image I came across of that one here to post .
She has more .
She is a Chef (but not a knife collector) .
So I say : Yes Chef . Right away Chef . . . . and I pocket my "big knife" right quick .
 
These aren’t the kind of thing that we usually see in this thread but they are knives and they are a recent acquisition.

I took a 4 hour drive to visit an old childhood friend and he sent me home with this small collection that he has had since the 1990’s.

They are Franklin Mint knives that as I understand it, were sent to him annually from a subscription that he signed up for when he bought the empty display case.

First Emerson. Bought at blade show. Since then I’ve bought 4 more all awaiting to be shipped. It is such a simple, brutally fantastic knife that just works. I don’t know if it just calls to me because I’m blue collar and a scrapper, but this thing is just the knife carried with me most of the time right now.
