I’ve really liked most of the designs of Steve Kempa- Vulpex Designs- with Reate.
I saw this one as a proto about 6 months ago and thought wow.. that’s a cool design and will probably never go on to production.

To my surprise and chagrin, NCB had a few colorways available yesterday and somehow I managed to snag my favorite one.

Saw an interview from Blade show and wanted to take a look. Pretty nice for the price! 14C28N, solid sharpness and the lines look even. Surprised to see the AuxMFG on the KS23, didn’t know they had anything to do with one and another! Happy surprise!

I said I would never pay this much for a knife again. But then I saw this Mini Arius in that den of iniquity, otherwise known as the exchange, and … I don’t know … I just had to do it. It’s everything everybody says Koenig is. The action is unlike anything else I’ve had. My only minor complaint is that it’s difficult to thumb-roll open because of the placement of the frame lock; but that’s more than mitigated by the ease with which it can be spydie-flicked. I’m not sure just what I’m going to do with it yet, but it’s pretty darn nice.

I know , this gets me all the time with frame locks .
To slow roll a frame lock in general try putting thumb in top of slot , as usual , but on the underside put index finger , lightly, in the slot rather than on lock bar until blade starts to move out of closed detent .

Got this Byrd Robin 2 as an experimental knife. I have recently taken an interest in serrated blades and I wanted something cheap with decent quality to see if I like serrated blades enough to buy a more expensive one.

The serrations seem well done but I just received it minutes ago. The blade is very thin which I like but the Chaparral still has it beat my a very narrow margin.
