Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Once again a huge thank you to @MrMoose for the great deal on this basically brand new Microtech LUDT! He is truly one of the folks here on BF that make this a great place to buy, sell, trade or just hang out. He always goes above and beyond on a deal. If you’re ever lucky enough to engage with him, you’ll see what I mean. Thanks again Bruce! IMG_9206.jpeg

Some firsts for me today. My first mule team fixed blade, first Z-wear blade, first Endela and first serrated knife from Spyderco. I've been told by several people over the years that K390 was the knife to try out serrated, so here I am. It's crazy sharp out of the box.

Also pictured is some new (to me)rag micarta and part of it will be used to make scales for the Endela. And the green paper micarta may replace the G-10 on the mule team knife. I have more of the green that I may use on a Manix2, but all of this is up in the air at this stage. Both of these micartas look more striking once buffed and polished. The first week of Aug turned out to be a lot of cool stuff.

I think plain grey handle is the best look on the LUDT. Awesome knife.

Got this a few days ago and I haven’t been able to stop playing with it since. I really can’t say it’s any better than the Wicked Edge System I’ve had for many years, but then again I can’t say it’s not. They’re just two different systems, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Overall I like them both. It’s great to have options! image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Thanks, appreciate it. Smart idea, but these aren't approved or sanctioned by me at all. I'm not going to raise a fuss over it, he should definitely keep making stands with dry erase boards and usernames, but doing the BFC logo is a no-no

Maratac Megalith
It's advertised as a kitchen / camp knife.
VG-10 blade steel.
Steel liners, pocket clip & all hardware.
The YouTube video mentions that the pocket clip is titanium, but it's steel.
Riding on Skiffs.

Same model with different scales & back-spacer...with acid washed blade, liners, pocket clip & hardware...coming here tomorrow.

Couple of new pick-ups just in today. CJRB Latitude and Boker Plus Aluma. Of the two, the Latitude is more favorable, mostly because of its more manageable size and ease of use - the blade just flies open either by thumb or reverse flick, and it’s really at the upper end of my preferred carry size. The button-actuated top liner lock is also becoming my favorite lock type. Really nice knife.

The Aluma is a bit of a brute. With a blade length of over 3.5” and a total length over 8”, it’s the biggest folder I own, and as such, it’s not the easiest to flip open. Unlike the Microtech I recently returned because it simply would not flip open, this one does flip well, it just needs a bit more attention and effort than my more reasonably sized flippers. That, however, is quickly overcome by its looks. While it may be a handful, it’s the looks that caught my eye, and in the hand it’s actually a comfortable weight to handle for its size.

Being that they’re both cheapies, I think they’ll be seeing some carry time.
