I'm very pleased. Here's what we have:
Fixed Blade on the left, RR2A, Red Ryder. Under $20 always, and on sale for $14. This is meant to be the first knife for a young person. i bought it to be the sacrificial lamb for testing the toughness of 440A, it's pretty nice and they did a really good job on the scales, so i'll hang on to it.
Top knife in black, RR1143, Rough Rider Coal Miner Hawkbill.
Next is the RR2173, R Rider Blue Mule, a Sunfish knife. I just love Sunfish and Elephant's Toe Knives. They are really big, origianlly designed for cutting rope.
Next, RR2719, R Rider EDC w/ Axis Lock, D2 Steel, G-10 handles and ball bearings. It cost a whopping $20.. It has a safety feature that I've never seen on an axis/crossbar lock before. When closing there is an extra detent, meant to keep it from closing on your fingers. A few drops of oil and it was a smooth operator.
RR861, Rough Rider Historical Yellow Hawkbill. I'm excited bout these knives now that I have the tools to sharpen them. A big advantage of this type blade is that it pulls the material being cut into the knife edge. you almost havre to experience it to understand the benefit.
On the right, we have case Carbon Steel Erasors and a rounded coarse stone for the first step in sharpening Hawkbills.
All this for $103 with shipping. Don't think for a minutes that Rough Rider isn't solid with quality and very good fit and finish most of the time
