I like it so much that I wish there was a Military 2 with a compression lock :D (Contemplating modding the clip though, tip down is weiiiiird.)

Someone posted last week one (PM2) with the clip attached to lanyard hole.

I could see that working from a practical point of view, but something that looks MacGyver-ed isn't my thing (Not knocking the practicality and simplicity of it it though :)). I'm gonna go with a threaded insert that gets glued and press fitted, coupled with an aftermarket clip, should work well enough. You know, being german, we like to over-engineer things lol

I still like the idea.

Just put in an order for a Manly Peak D2, just figured my Stepdad could use another knife (He's been carrying a Buck 110 for the past two decades), I wanted something that was legal to carry here and it seemed like a good alternative. I was looking at some slip joints but I didn't want to go with something non locking. And locking knives need to be two handed openings. I liked the Lion Steel Big Opera as well, but it's more than double the price and he doesn't always like switching up his "EDC" so if he likes going from his usual to something new, maybe I see about something a step above for his birthday o_O
