Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Pressed the "purchase" button on a Kizer Begleiter 2 (natural Micarta handle scales and N690 steel) and a Spyderco Dragonfly with "Zome" FRN handle scales and VG-10 steel. Lookin forward to gettin both of em.

Update:

I received both knives about 3 days ago, but, unfortunately, the Kizer Begleiter I ordered was defective - The lock bar doesn't engage with the bottom of the blade and lock it in place. The blade just kind of flops around. The lock bar itself looks a little rough where it was supposed to meet the blade, and the micarta looked a bit frayed. I'm assuming I just got one of the "overlooked" ones this time around. Already started the return process, but that was a bit of a bummer as I was looking forward to trying this knife out.

The Dragonfly on the other hand is greatness. I'm always surprised by the ergo's of small knife handles, especially when they work well. And this one works very well. Tiny in size, super lightweight, thin, slicey blade stock, great handle ergos... Just a great option when you want something small, yet capable. Definitely a bit overpriced, but I'm glad to add this one to the rotation.

Just received a Spydreco Fluted Ti S35VN Native 5 (at the top of the 1st photo) that I purchased off of the Exchange, which completes my very limited collection of Natives which also includes (in descending order in the photo) a:

Fluted CF S90V Native 5
G10 S35VN Native 5
FRN Gin-1 Native 1

Also bought the Fluted Ti Native 5 to pair with my Fluted Ti Millie:

While they are both remarkable, the fluting on the Millie looks better to me because it's length/size allows for extending the lines horizontally which makes the knife seem longer while the lines on the Native 5 are more vertical making it seem stubbier in comparison.

So, the better comparison for size/style is between the Fluted Ti and Fluted CF Native 5.

Also just received a Spyderco G10 "All Black" Karahawk direct from Spyderco to pair w/the the oddly named G10 "Black" Spyderco Karahawk with the ("silver" colored blade, liner and ring) that I already owned.

Bought the "All Black" version it because I just noticed Spyderco recently discontinued the "Black" Version and might discontinue the "All Black" version too. No other reason than that but they do make a nice pair.
