Pics to come, when it all arrives, but I litterally just finally talked myself into buying a Ken Onion ed. Work Sharp, with the Grining attachment, and a bunch of spare belts...

Much as I do love the therapy of hand sharpening on stones, it can be time consuming, plus I also got an official job offer today, (interviewed yesterday), so even though I'm still back in school taking classes, I'll also be back at work again in a couple of weeks after my 2 year hiatus, so esp. when other people ask me from time to time as well to touch up theirs, time is a commodity about to be in short supply for me, so hopefully this well worth the investment going forward...

And I still have stones for when I need some therapy...

This harvest is a result of the post Shot Show purchases of Cold Steel, in reaction to the latest offerings after the company's purchase by GSM, and wanting to get the Cold Steel knives on my want list sooner than later, in case things change for the worst at Cold Steel (especially with so many employees laid off). I would have purchased the Cold Steel Recon 1 decades ago, but despite someone recommending it, they also showed me the off their rocker marketing by the company's owner that resulted in me buying a Ka-Bar instead and then later a Spyderco instead. In the last few years the delay in purchasing it was due to supply and/or always wanting another knife more. The AD-10 is the result of so many positive opinions on it in this forum. They were right.

The Cold Steel Tuff Lite has also been a knife I've wanted for a while now, because I like to have a few utility knives around for handy room knives. I would have gotten one earlier, but they were always out of the blue handled ones when I went to include it in an order as an add-on purchase. It's such a solid, budget utility knife.

I've always had a knife with a warranty, until now! So glad I got this one, knivesplus damascus carbonfiber, s45vn para2, absolutely perfect. I'm so bored of all the 2022 offerings, so I figured it was time to add this to the collection.

That carbon fiber is so cool!

After a full read through of the Kephart thread and seeing craytab craytab and his pics of the BK62 alongside the CPK Kephart (which I have), I figured it was time to get this done:

I also went on the Big River Site and grabbed up a new copy of Horace Kephart's books, as I was unable to lay hands on my old copy. I'll say that this Becker is far sharper (and lighter) than my CPK version, but I love them both!

strategy9 strategy9 it's a good one, but baby it. I used mine pretty hardcore, not for bevel grinding, but did LOTS of sharpening and it died on me. So did the warranty replacement. And the one I bought after that. And it's replacement too. Here's my GB&U review.
Dang, tough, and yeah, I definitely don't plan on using it THAT much...
Probably initially I'll run it through a little gauntlet, playing with it a bit like a kid with a new toy, polishing ALL the edges I can find in my house 😅
(might have me a 12,000 grit polished edge pie server)...

But after that, it'll be back the rotation, just touching stuff up as needed, still maintaining with stropping on leather, still using rods in the kitchen, a puck on my large choppers and axes, and still using stones from time to time for some calming therapy...
When in a hurry, or a seriously boogered edge, or right before the holidays when 5 or 6 of the kitchen knives could all use a med.-fine+ touchup, or with the occasional helping out a friend who needs a new edge, using it on their blades rather then using up my time and my stones in those scenarios, my hope is that it'll be a godsend...

Multiple times a week every week, for over a year though, sounds like you were running an all out knife sharpening service, (or knife making business) with yours! Good lord! Lol...
After the first initial month of playing with it, I expect to use it maybe one day every 2 or 3 weeks at most, going back to work soon it'll probably be my work knife(s)... spring time hitting the yard choppers, etc. But certainly not planning on running it constant.

I appreciate your feedback though, thanks for sharing.

Also FWIW, a solid little 2x42 is on my list of things to get, but that's not one I plan on cheaping on just to have one, and since I have been out of work and back in school for the past 2 years after a covid layoff, money is still a bit tight... I just happened to be paying my CC's and noticed I had a few hundo in redeemable points, so after not treating myself in a while, (not feeding the inner child), I nerded out and bought myself some comic books I wanted, and the complete Work Sharp set up to add to my overall repertiore...

I have both knives in your first picture. They are solid folding knives with great value. The tanto Recon 1 turned out to be the only effective tool when I tried to remove some old wallpaper in one of my rooms. I also had a red tuff Lite sold it but it's a great piece too.
