It is very nice. It’s the first one I’ve been able to handle so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It certainly doesn’t disappoint. I wouldn’t mind picking up another but I’m trying to track down a couple other models first.

It's been awhile, wasn't even looking for a new knife and my name finally popped on the North Arm waiting list, took a couple of days to think about whether I wanted to order it or not, glad I did it's a great knife. The Chaparral will be a 5th pocket carry.

I got something cool. This is an ATS-55 Civilian, linerless construction, Phillips & pin construction. Supposedly weren't a lot made of these. I think they were only made from like, '96-2000. I swear it is lighter than the Matriarch 2.

I picked one up Monday (heavily discounted & now out of stock) from an out of state dealer who was “fire-saling“ the couple he had in stock. I’ve always liked the knife but could never bring myself to pay the price.

Agreed. They’re not pretty, but I will always have a couple in my collection. I’ve kept one in the backhoe for years, and that knife has definitely earned it’s keep.
