Everyone's latest acquisitions!

On-lay, not inlay...since the scale needs to shift to fire. Faux tortoise shell of some sort🤷‍♂️

On-lay... That's the term, thanks. :)

Whaaaat?! Scale release auto? Dual action?

My toughest knife yet is in the mail ... 0.35” A2 from Josiah .... Wow.

And then, Paul is making me another AEB-L Fuller:

Got a 7” Seax from him already, the smaller one will be more portable.

He might be making more than one of these .... just saying :)

Pretty comical, all things considered but since I scored a pretty screaming deal on it, I figured why not?

Cold Steel Oyabun Signature Edition. I figure, with Lynn having exited stage left on GSM's clownshow takeover of Cold Steel, there won't be any more of these in the future.

It's actually a really nice knife. Good action (surprisingly dropshutty), etched signature, S35vn blade, neat (if silly) features. Only gripe is that it came uncharacteristically not very sharp. All told, pretty nice, and slim in the pocket.

New Year’s resolutions be damned! Had a Les George VECP w Morph scales delivered today and a LionSteel BnL (carbon fiber/m390 dual blade) scheduled for delivery on Thursday. Hats off to Jordan and DLT once again!
Update, returned the Les George. Flawless and beautiful knife, but I could not find any grip on the shiny titanium handle. Used the funds to re-explore Benchmade after a long Benchmade buying hiatus with a 940-1 Osborne and a 535-3 Bugout. S90v and carbon fiber in both. We will see…

Lionsteel jack with three tools. Fantastic knife but just a little too small. I wish it were just 1-2 cm longer. Otherwise, it's pretty close to perfect.View attachment 1756640
We just had the Pinewood Derby for the Cub Scouts. The screwdriver on this Lionsteel worked very well when we were assembling the track (six big bolts per joint) and when trying to delicately slide out the car axels just a little bit to reduce the friction of the wheel against the wood of the car. The special shape of the bottle opener was great. It fit in a good position around the axel (nail) to pry the wheel just right.

I still wish this knife were 1-2 cm longer and a little heavier. I appreciate their efforts to make them light with the carbon graphite and titanium, but I like to have a little more heft in a hand tool.

The best part was watching my little boy teach his buddies how to use the tool carefully, safely, and effectively. Those little guys are so cute, I adore them.
