Everyone's latest acquisitions!

How's the boker?

It's a very nice knife. About the only objective criticisms I can level against it would be that the liner lock on this knife is VERY thin, and secondly, it does have a slightly wonky blade-to-handle ratio. The blade could have been another 15% in size, and it would fit this knife perfectly. Of course, then it would be a 4 inch (or a tad longer) blade. The handle is pretty large in comparison. Beautifully made, however!

I have some brand new knife arrivals. My CRKT Squid II liner lock flipper arrived about 10 days ago, don't think I posted it (looked, couldn't find). Limited run, M390 steel, OD Micarta scales on both sides, made in Italy. I think a 3" blade.

Also received my WE Knife SNECX last week. The locking mechanism acts similar to a Demko Shark Lock, but you can unseat the bar near the pivot and disengage/lift up the lock bar for cleaning the knife (good blade for the kitchen). The odd pocket clip placement still tucks it up against the back side of the pocket nicely:

Speaking of Shark Lock, I picked up a Demko AD 20.5 in smooth Ti scales with CPM-3V drop point blade. I did not want the textured Ti scales which would tear up my pants pockets if I used the pocket clips. The action is pretty good, so I wont change the bearings to Skiff yet, but I am installing a spare LynchNW deep carry clip soon:

I have to stop here for now, but still have a few more incoming to post.
I've gotten a couple WE knives and it's hard to fault their solid builds. The call of the Demko is a hard thing to ignore. It was hard when he was making great designs for Cold Steel and it's just as hard now.

MKM make so many nice things; acting as a co-op of some very talented knife designers. That Mikro is a great little cutter and a pretty inexpensive option for getting your hands on M390 steel.

Mail Call Today, Watch Pocket Slipjoint, Kansept Bevy, Jade G10, 2.5" Blade Of 154CM, 3.0" Covers, Fits Perfect In The Watch Pocket, Great Little Knife.

Tres Amigos … or the Three Stooges, I’m not sure yet. These were a whim/binge purchase from KC’s recent sale as part of my Axial depression remediation therapy. Buck Nobleman, Bestech Komodo, and Kershaw Scallion. Not impressed with the Scallion - pivot feels too tight and it doesn’t fly all the way open like my other Kershaws with Speedsafe do. The Bestech is a hefty beast with really nice action; I’ve never been a big fan of orange scales, but this one just grabbed me. The Buck looks better in person than in pictures, feels nice and solid with typical smooth Buck action. I have no idea what I’m gonna do with any of them, but they’re all pretty decent in their own way.

Edit: I put a drop of REM oil on the Scallion pivot and worked it a few times, now it flips right open like it’s supposed to. Fun little flipper now.

Glad the Scallion got smoothed out for ya! I have a few of them that I've had for a long time. Lately I've been carrying the exact same style you have here and there. It's pretty perfect as a small edc folder really and that recurve edge cuts like the dickens!

A knife I've wanted for a while now, arrived from Finland. The Kellam Tracker has a stained curly birch handle and a full tang carbon steel 5.7" blade, with a high scandi grind that is closer to what a lot of the older style puukko knives had. Kellam is a knife company that is similar to the knife designer co-op of MKM in Italy, in that there are a bunch of independant knife makers/designers working under the Kellam brand. I ordered this knife during the summer, while Kellam were closed to allow their employees to go out and enjoy the wilderness and/or go on vacation for a few weeks. I'd already waited a long time trying to source the knife locally, so I didn't have a problem waiting a bit longer, while a company took care of its employees. They even sent me a company pen and a 2023 Kellam Calendar. The leather sheath is pretty nice too.
