I had a CRKT S-2. Bought it new, shortly after they were introduced...sold it here a few years back. One of the first knives I remember being called the poor man's sebenza.I don't usually like posting a pic of a knife before I have it but what the hell... I think this thing is pretty cool. It's a real old discontinued CRKT 7503. It's a Ti framelock with an ATS-34 blade. The old schoolers might remember this one. Apparently they discontinued it after a while because it just became too expensive for them to produce and still offer for a decent price. Made in Taiwan. I found it NIB for $70 plus shipping so I couldn't say no.

My man! Nice! Yea when I was in that zone where you see a knife you want really bad on the secondary market and are fiercely looking them up to help make your mind if you want to pounce or not, I saw many people from the past here talking about how it was "the poor man's Sebenza". I'm excited to check it out. I'm a sucker for poor man's Sebenzas haha. My first Ti framelock was a Bradley Alias and it was hyped in the same way.I had a CRKT S-2. Bought it new, shortly after they were introduced...sold it here a few years back. One of the first knives I remember being called the poor man's sebenza.
Thank you sir. It's a pity that now days they most of their stuff is kind of questionable. I always thought it would be awesome if they were on say a Benchmade level of quality, yet with all their awesome mechanisms and crazy designs. Someone was talking about remember looking through catalogs back in the day of all CRKT's designs and just being blown away, I agree. They've had a lot of collaborations with cool makers too. That was back in CRKT's heyday...before they chose to focus on the budget portion of their mission statement instead of the quality portion.
Enjoy it!!
