I went into the knife shop to look for a small fixed blade to wear on my offhand side at a 45 degree and ended walking out with a Benchmade Claymore. In the past I've not been a huge Benchmade fan but the new autos are fast and this one is in cpm-D2. Couldn't help myself.

No new blades but Sharp Dressed Knives finally did some more burgundy micarta scales for the the ZT 0640. I've wanted a set for the 0640WBW since I got it.

I also snagged a Benchmade 1100 pen. I had one several years ago that was my first nice pen. It disappeared at work a while ago. Frustratingly, I still have the cap for the old one as a reminder of the loss.

For some reason: I've never owned a Buck 110
Problem solved!

I think you'll like it!🤙. I was just admiring mine the other day and am always impressed everytime I pick it up. It's actually crazy that they can make a knife like this for the price they sell them at. I was particularly impressed by the lockup not having any play despite it's pinned construction. I was also impressed with the fact that they thought to put a little felt pad on the inside of the sheath behind the button so that the bolsters and what not don't get scratched everytime you put the knife in or take it out. Something that I was kind of disappointed with GEC for not doing. I bought a H40 and there is nothing protecting the backside of the button so the first time I slid it into the sheath, the blade came out with scratches. I'm currently waiting for delivery of some felt pads to put there to correct this and haven't been able to carry it until I can fix that small issue.

What happens when you promise yourself not to buy a new knife? You instantly buy a new knife...

Pulled the trigger on a Jack Wolf Benny's Clip. The fit and finish is outstanding! Only improvement would be chamfering the inside edges of the scales because they are a little bit sharp.

I did exactly that a couple of days ago. I had just gotten a like-new BM Osborne, and told myself ok, this is it, i have more knives in the drawer than I’ll ever use, I just got a monster plumbing bill, no more knives for awhile. Then Buck dropped the September BOTM, a 112 Ranger Sport, all black, S30V blade. And a limited edition. Do I need one? NO I DO NOT. But I’d been eyeballing a 112 for some time down the road, so I had no choice. And it’s been shipped, so there’s no turning back now.

I've been on the lookout for an SBD Mini Tempest for some time now, and I'm delighted to be able to add this one to my collection. I've owned a few Reates, and this is the nicest one I've handled.

Nadeau's integrated detent is really clever, too. I wasn't sure how much of a difference it would make, but the blade is damned near already riding on it at about 10 degrees off vertical. Sooo smooth. :)

I don't usually like posting a pic of a knife before I have it but what the hell... I think this thing is pretty cool. It's a real old discontinued CRKT 7503. It's a Ti framelock with an ATS-34 blade. The old schoolers might remember this one. Apparently they discontinued it after a while because it just became too expensive for them to produce and still offer for a decent price. Made in Taiwan. I found it NIB for $70 plus shipping so I couldn't say no.
