Steels as in learning about all the options, there are many? Just the Facts. Blade HQ has a section on many different steels and there uses.
I like the way they graph their attributes and weaknesses.

Thought I'd be able to watch this sprint release slowly ride off into the sunset without me. No such luck! The FOMO kicked in big time when I realized that I didn't have a Spyderco slippy (except for my Pingo) and well here she is. Fully justified...as if I need it. Even came with a pre-applied snail trail so I've got that going for me as well.

Just got in this fun little guy. The burlap scales are much smoother than I expected. Unfortunately the included pocket clip is so uncomfortable it makes this knife practically unusable.



I've already removed the attached pocket clip and it's 1000% better. I'm definitely gonna have to find something lower profile.

Jared Oeser F-22 in Bohler M390, with carbon fiber scales and Lee Williams kickstop flipper.

(1) New Hogue Deka 20CV with blue G-Mascus scales (I wanted the Magnacut version but not at the expense of flimsier polymer scales, so I settled for CPM-20CV), and
(2) Used Hogue Doug Ritter 20CV with purple G-mascus scales.
(3) New Spyderco Dragonfly with glow in the dark scales along side of them:

Always wanted a “Gurkha Knife”, ever since I was 10. Remember admiring them in shop windows, etc., when I was a boy.
Finally getting one - complying to the steel/size/build constraints that I didn’t have back then
