I'm visiting my grandma south of Houston since Friday, and today we drove down to Galveston for lunch and then visited my step uncle, as his wife just committed suicide and we wanted to check on him. While visiting he shows me all his guns and then bam hands me this old slipjoint and a box of 1000 rounds 9mm. He jokingly says "happy birthday." Then he says "when is your birthday anyway?" As a matter of fact, my birthday is tomorrow LOL!!!!

Here's to unexpected birthday presents! Just gotta figure out how to get the ammo back to Illinois. I'm guessing I'll have to ship it.

I know nothing about this type of knife, so I posted in the Bernard Levine knife id section.

My latest Boker flipper, designed by our one-and-only Lorien Lorien next to a Spyderco bug for size comparison 😅 (ignore cat bite)

The Boker Roundhouse is criminally underrated and has some of the best ergonomics on a folder I've ever used (maybe it's just for people with big hands). It's also a great price for carbon fiber scales. I was initially drawn to it because of the Americana design team of Lorien Arnold (Cdn) and Bruce Bingenheimer (US). Bingenheimer passed away, but my understanding is that a certain amount of the price of every one of these knives goes to his family.

Its a looker for sure and carbon fiber doesn't do a thing for me and usually turns me off right away!!!

Lorien Lorien has been banging out some seriously wicked blades over on his page here!!!

Two new acquisitions! One for me, and one I purchased for my brother.

First up is my new Dave Beck! A real stunner. It’s my first Beck and I am in love. Bought it on another forum in new / unused condition.

Secondly, I purchased this fixed blade Buck 112 for my brother. Bought this one here on the Exchange. My brother loves the Buck 112 pattern, and I’ve gotten him a couple over the past few years (drop point 5160 / char wood and drop point 420HC / ebony wood).

Saw this one pop up and couldn’t resist. I know he’s gonna love it!

What do you think of the fit and finish, if you don't mind me asking?
Fit and finish is very good, but the micarta scales are very slick and not grippy at all as I had hoped. I have no easy way to say how just much better/worse or different it is objectively vs my Victorinox models, as I have not used it while I debate returning it for the correct color.

Also do not like this color as I ordered the green version, but with DLT Trading returns I understand that I have to ship it to them without an RMA, with a note inside, to try to get them to fix their error. I may just call them this week.
