Exactly. This is the second knife she has gifted me, the other a Matt Bailey model 2 flipper geek edition. If it’s from mom, then it’s highly collectible
In spite of my obvious butterfly fandom, I must agree with you and admit that Benchmade's slipjoints leave much to be desired. I've found the action on both their Propers and Weekender are mushy at best. Mind you, that doesn't stop me from owning these models, but I'd be much more keen on carrying and using them if they were a fair bit snappier.Yea the Benchmade Proper in cf with s90v. They are a different type of walk and talk imo . Not like a Tradional half stop in all fairness. But with that being said they have a very nice thick hydraulic type action that opens and closes from the half stop very firmly which I personally like very much. Which makes it a very safe slip joint to use and handle. The proper is a different flavor slip joint I really enjoy and like .Yea the Benchmade Proper in cf with s90v. Darn you for showing this... I've really been enjoying my Kizer Original and this looks really good...Full titanium CJRB Pyrite. This knife has NO RIGHT being this dang good for the $72 I paid for it. Titanium scales, AR-RPM9 steel, ceramic ball bearings, button lock, and smoothness that rivals my Pro-Tech Malibu. The thumbstud is also very, very well placed making for awesome opening. If they were to upgrade the steel, and throw the Artisan name on it, I'd have no problem paying double.
Matching titanium clip will be in tomorrow.
I think I'm going to anodize it blue (imagine that).

I have that one ^^, and the Tiger stripe one. Great little knives for sure.WE Knife Charith #125 of 210. Such a nicely made and machined example of a fine pocket knife.View attachment 2147022View attachment 2147025View attachment 2147026

I love everything about it. I’m a stropping nut and give my daily blade about 20 good licks per side As I’m drinking my morning coffee. This baby slices through my practice paper with crisp precision. Blade thickness and grind make it a perfect slicer and who doesn’t love everything about CPM 20 CV steel. I love it’s exclusivity, feel in my hand, deployment from either hand, machining, yada yada yada.I have that one ^^, and the Tiger stripe one. Great little knives for sure.

I'm excited to give the Pyrite a good try. The price is just too good to pass up for the materials.I'm a big fan of the Kizer Original. Other than the steel choice, I honestly think this blows the Original out of the water.
