That Valhalla reminded me about a couple other Blade>Handle folder designs, there's been a couple really neat ones like that Benchmade LFK...that one's kind of a modernized Marble's Safety Folder.Always thought that was a neat model......Damn Chip get the F out of my head and want list..!!
Lunch is overrated! Just have a big breakfast!!Beautiful, congrats!
And thanks, I almost bought it... Would have put a serious dent in my lunch money for the month.![]()
Stumbled across this yesterday.in a local store that was closing its doors and couldn't pass it up!
Full!Nice grab....luv the Damasteel bolsters!!!! Full or mini???
I already had the Pro Tech. Just got the Spartan. The scales are a little thin for my hand. I am going to get some G10 liner to add under the scales. I have never done it before, it seems like it might not be too difficult to accomplish though. I guess just take the scales off and trace onto the shim. Then cut the shim and sand to match the scales. Does that sound about right?

Sounds like a plan.... We'll be waiting to see how you do!!!!
How thick are you going??
I think I need .90" per side. I have a pair of Manix 2 scales taken off for another project I am attempting, and those scales are .104" /side. When I hold the Spartan and those scales in hand, it seems about right. But when I order the liners, I am going to get a few different thickness sizes, just to be sure.
Here is the Spartan laying flat on a book with a CRK next to it for a thickness comparison. You can see in the second pic, they are pretty close, thickness wise. That is too thin for a fixed blade knife handle.
