Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Thursday GiantMouse is releasing a new knife. Their GM line is basically a limited run of a new model. The GMP line is even more limited but the same model usually with a black PVD finish and copper, brass, or bronze accent setup. Usually 400 GM knives and 200 GMP ones, and they're serialized. This is the eleventh release.

Usually some time later a regular production GM knife comes out that's the same design with their standard materials and no limit on production.

Thanks - the GM version is nice. Not sure the pirate version is for me, even though the color theme is similar to the LynchNW exclusive Biblio XL. I get the feeling that the LynchNW exclusive will be a regular model, even though the 1st batch of 300 sold out in a few hours, unlike these.

These two arrived today.

* Giant Mouse Blibio XL, as LynchNW exclusive in Magnacut flipper, Carbon Fiber, and Bronze hardware (300 and sold out in 1st batch, assume more will come later)
* Sharp by Design Mini Tempest, Kaviso Exclusive in S90V front flipper, Ti frame lock, and shredded carbon fiber overlay and inlay.

I decided it was finally time to learn how to sharpen. I looked around for a knife with good ergos for a hand my size and a steel that's decent but will need to be touched up often. I also didn't want to break the bank. After watching/reading every knife review ever I settled on a Spyderco Resilience. I was happy to hear that although the materials aren't supreme, the feel of the knife is still top shelf. It came this morning and this thing RULES! For my preferences, it's the best-feeling Spyderco I've ever tried.....and I've tried more than my share. Factory photo below but real life stuff coming soon:

Recently picked up this Case Mini CopperLock with a clip point. Happened to be in a store with a huge Case selection, so picked up my first Case knife. I have to say the traditional pocket knife look with the utility of a lock back has made this a fantastic EDC and it’s getting a lot of pocket time and use.IMG_5550.jpegIMG_5552.jpegIMG_5551.jpeg

Whoooa! I've never seen that criss-cross micarta pattern before. Very nice. Thanks for sharing!

Spyderco made some limited production knives with a pattern like that, that I think had woven threads of carbon fiber or glass in them to make them shine or sparkle. I’m blanking on what they called it now, in the past I’ve tried to find them.

Okay, so the rest of the incoming brand new knives from the past few days are below...

* Spyderco Drunken in S90V with LynchNW deep carry clip. Wonderful blade finish and action.
* Pyratech Crystaline Ti scales for my Kraken 1st production in S90V (magnetic hardware attachment). pics on Kraken later.
* Northwoods Fall Creek fixed blade in carbon steel and dark blue micarta, with leather sheath.
* Kizer Sparrow in S35VN and Titanium frame lock (chalky Ti finish makes it grippy, with great action)
* Kubey Tityus budget version (see blue Ti version with Drunken) in D2 and green G10 liner lock (also great action)
* Another Remette Rhino for myself, in 14C28N with green micarta. great feel and action (see previous comments re: G2)
* Civivi McKenna front flipper (named after my daughter, not, and after the Elijah Isham tragedy)
* Green Thorn F3 in K110 and CF liner lock
* Green Thorn F3 in K110 and Ti liner lock
* Hacksmith Mini Light Saber with 4-5" flame
