I just wanted to thank Buck Knives. I have had a Buck 501 Squire since I was 12. That's roughly 25 years. I think I broke my first one or lost it, either way, I replaced it in the late 80's or early 90's. In the late 90's I broke the blade doing something stupid. After I found this forum, I was wanting to get a new blade with some super steel. I called Buck and asked if I could pay them to put a new high end blade on the 501. They said the high ends go on the 110 Folding Hunter, but they would replace it. I told them I did something stupid and wanted to pay for it. They said no they would fix it. I sent it back with a not that I've had it or one like it for 25 years. They repaired my knife, and sent it within the 4 weeks they said were there normal time frame.
It is beautiful. It looks like the buffed or polished the redwood handles, and polished the chrome or metal. It is almost so pretty I don't want to carry it. Folks, support you companies that treat you this way. It doesn't get any better than this, in my opinion. I just want to thank BUCK knives for treating me this way. I have a 503 prince that I cherish, as well as a fancy 112 folding hunter. You all are a great American company.
