hey guys:

So I was browsing on 1911forums a while ago and came across the name Matt Cucchiara that someone had their knife re-shaped and sharpened, so I contacted Matt and asked if he would do some touch up work on my Emerson CQC-7B and reshape it into a v-grind. Allow me to put it this way, it was an experience of dreams from the initial contact to the final result. SO I sent in my Mini-commander to sharpen. He made the factory job look pale by comparison!!!

Just today I was browsing here and it occurred to me that Matt is a heck of a custom maker. And guess what? He was easy to deal with, very quick, and acted as if he was just like you and me. had I not been here, I would never have guessed his "other" specialty9such as making knives).

What's my point? Matt treated a little sharpening job very propmtly and with great care, on the side of his other tasks. i look forward to know more and see if I can afford his knives..... :D

I agree, Matt is great to work with, and he also let us work out a deal to try one of his knives for passaround!

Matt's one of the VERY BEST! ;) :)

My one-of Batwing.......

Yep, great guy to deal with. He did a Meltdown on a couple of Sebbies for me and they came back awesome. They feel like completely different knives. Right now I'm patiently waiting for a Batwing which is one of his own customs. He makes some very cool stuff.

Still have a few more months to go before I get my Pancho. Looking forward to it that's for sure. I will post some pictures when I get it.

I also am on the waiting list for a couple of his folders. Though our contact was by email, he was a great person to deal with; answering all questions
and being upfront on delivery and prices. Good man...

WOW! ! Jason, that is some Family Portrait!! You couldn't have picked a better guy to work with. I have dealt with Matt before, and I can't recommend a better Knife Maker to work with. That's why I volunteered to work with Matt on the Pass-Around of his Poncho Model.

Keep a heads up in the Pass-Around Forum. This one will be coming up for another go-round, early next year!! (Sorry of the Shameful Plug  )
