So I just bought my first belt grinder and I was looking for a good source of belts. I had heard some mixed things about Pops, but decided to give them a try. Right after i placed my order, I got an email saying one of the belts what out of stock, and they asked if I wanted them to split up the order or wait. I said it didn't really matter to me. A few days later, I realized i needed to add a few more belts, which the did quickly and easily for me. They ended up splitting the order, leaving out the belt they would ship to me later and did not charge for it. The shipping was incredibly fast, and working with Kay was great. I'm definitely going to order from them again, the prices were comparable, the shipping wasent too much and im really happy with the service. What have you guys thought about pops, or any other major retailer to knife makers "for steel, handles, belts, tools etc"

Pop's has been good to me. They are easy to deal with and Pop will help anyway he can. Sometimes they get a little behind but they are a small business so that is to be expected. They have my recommendation.

Pops has always been good to us..About the cheapest source for belts and corby bolts too.

I have no idea how many belts and supplies I've ordered from them over the years, but they've always been great to deal with.

I've been ordering belts from Pop's for a couple years now and I've been very happy with them. Great prices and customer service.

I bought my BaderIII grinder from them. He did everything in his power to orchestrate shipping specifics via UPS to try and help me out on shipping costs. I've also called a handful of times and had his wife answer and she could not be any more helpful. I've met them in person at our annual knife show and they are very personable and easy to deal with.

I buy stainless steel and ceramic belts from Pop's. I have always been happy with their service and their low prices. Larry

Jim and Kay are great people. Most don't know that James was a great knifemaker years back. His day job and his knife supplies business took that time away from him. If you come across a James Poplin knife ( mark is POP), it will likely be a really nice addition to your collection. He is also just about the nicest guy you will ever meet. Call an order in and it may be in the mail tomorrow morning. Communication is superb.

I order as much as I can from Pops. In addition, he has been very helpful to my knifemaking. He has spent more time on the phone with me than he had to. His knives were so good and clean that they still stand out when you find one. I bought one at the Guild show last year and it is the centerpiece of my collection.

I have been trying to talk Pop into making me a knife for a while now. Eventually I will have one :D
He will still make one occasionally, but not many. He made one for himself last year to take on a hunting trip and it was a beautiful knife.

Pop and Kay are great people. I buy everything I can from them.

Pops has great prices on belts. I've gotten away from using expensive name brand belts so I don't order from him much anymore, but he has always had great service and nobody can touch him on belt prices.

Another positive vote for a great business here. Only ordered from them once, but it was a very easy transaction and shipping was very fair and super fast. For most of my belts needs, I'll be continuing to buy from Pops. Best prices I could find on the belts I use and the extraordinarily quick shipping gave me that warm fuzzy satisfied customer feeling

Now that I have an oven I will have to check their stainless prices. Thanks for the heads up Larry, I didn't realize they stocked steel when I was on their website before.
