Hey all!

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with *returns* to knifeworks.com at all?

There was a mistake in on of the orders that they sent out to me, and I've been in contact with them about getting it corrected. As yet, have only had an email saying that they are 'Looking at it'. It's been a week since, and no contact, even to further emails from me. Not quite sure what they're looking at, as it seems a relatively straightforward mistake on their part.

My past experience with ordering from them has been great so far, and this is the first order error that I've had. I'm hoping that this is normal or that there's some sales event that has them tied up or sth.

Has anyone had any problems with returning goods to them, or mistakes in orders? Thanks!

Dave

Why not just call them on the phone? I've returned two items and they took care of the refund in about a week.

I've ordered from them and always had great experiences. Sometimes it takes awhile to ship, but so I've found that'll be because they are waiting for a particular knife to come from their supplier to ship with my whole order.

I have returned a couple knives with no problems. I called them, they said to just ship it back, and they credited me the same day it arrived back to them.

I have had an error once from them. They shipped me a plain edge Griptilian when I had ordered a combo edge. Definitely forgivable and I've ordered from them since. I called them, the sales girl told me to ship it back with a note, and they would correct it and refund the shipping fee, as well as throw in "a little something extra for my trouble." Well the fix happened very quickly with same day turnaround as when they received my shipment back. Got the knife I originally ordered as well as a cash refund for my shipping fee, but the "little something extra" was nonexistent. Can't say as though I would expect a company to throw something in for a person's time/trouble nor would I ask, although it shows fantastic customer service when they offer and follow through. But for the sales girl to say it and not do it slightly irritated me. (As a slight tangent, Crystal Falls Trading Company once sent me the wrong color BRKT sheath drop loop and told me to just keep it instead of going to the trouble of shipping it back. Probably never going to happen to anyone for a knife the price of a Griptilian unless you have a huge order, but I'm just saying...that's what separates the 5 star companies from the 4 star IMO.)

Bottom line is call them. It should only take one time assuming everything with your return or their mistake is legit. Knifeworks is a great, up-and-up company, so give them the benefit of the doubt and make a phone call.

Yeap, I finally did call them in the end. I'm in Aus, so I do tend to try and do things by email if possible.

Apparently Roger is out of town for a bit, and some of those things have to be run by him before they can OK it.

I knew there had to be some reason :P Like everyone else has mentioned, my experience with them has been only good so far.
