Exploring the Old Forest by canoe with knives, axes and hobbits...

Great pics man, the one of your son with that little axe is adorable - had to show the girlfriend that one!

Excellent! Did you bring anything special to keep the kids occupied when they got bored on the water? Or did you just keep them worn out! Minnow nets and magnifying glasses are good to have. And empty clear plastic bottles like a peanutbutter jar. And a small net bag for keeping treasures like shells, bits of wood, neat rocks and feathers! Oh... and kid sized paddles, and a toy boat on a string!

I am incredibly jealous of your trip. That looks like such a wonderful time. What a great family experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your photos are a real pleasure to look at. Thanks for sharing your excellent photography skills!

Take it easy,

Love the photo's. My family has never been on an overnight trip. I take the boy scouts on one every year. I need a bigger canoe for my family, or to borrow another canoe, but the wife would not be down for paddling her own canoe.

Wonderful stuff! You take some nice pics! Thanks Bro!
