Wish I could get up close to them...closest I've been is at the zoo, and they only had the 80 pound females.
I did have a Savannah Monitor that got up to 20 pounds; that thing ate a lot of money in food.
It was the friendliest lizard I ever had though...t would curl up and sleep on anyone. My dad still remembers the way it would burrow behind him when he sat on the couch, and it would move him forward a bit in the process.![]()
