Rescue Mike How do you Like That CS outdoorsman, I like the looks of it but have my doubts about the utility of the back "hatchet edge"

Woot! I think I spy a John Greco tactical type in mtnfolk mike's fixed blade collection! Is that a Companion, maybe? There was something about the greco tacticals that really snagged me back in the day (I guess that wasn't all too long ago...). I acquired 4 Grecos, 3 handmade and one laser cut flat ground jobber. They are awesome, chunky, durable, and sharp! The Greco tactical knives weren't everybody's bag, but they sure represented a lot of bang for the buck in a handmade knife. I wish I could get my hands on a few more. Thanks for rekindling fond memories, mtnfolk mike!

He's working again, more traditional knives but still some tacticals. I have wanted his knives for 10+ years & still haven't got around to it :( one of these days... http://www.grecoknives.com/

Very much AGREED! The Cord Wrap is AWESOME!! :D

I like that little wrap job on the B-Necker too!

nice collection.

And hoyl kukhrisx Fiddleback! yowza! And are those all Old Hickory derivatives in the other pic?

Yes. All of those I made from OH knives. I did not, however keep any. So I've gotta make a few more, and try to hold onto one this time. :D

Next weekend the pounding hot steel starts. I'll have more pics coming.:p

Upnorth, I ordered 2 moras, the 911 and the clipper from some guy with an ebay store, fairly good prices. I picked up the rest at a local grocery/gift shop, surprised the heck out of me to see them there.
My fave, though I only cut paper so far, is the 760, but Im taking that dumb camo off it for sure, the 911 and the yellow river knife are tied for a close second.

Fonly, the strider is a delight, can't say it any other way. It has changed my mind about larger folders, and I used to hate them.
I can snap it open easily, and it feels great in the hand.

Sicily, do you have a review for that big grohman #4 anyplace?
I have to have one of those babys.

These are my knives....some of then anyway.

Liam Ryam I just called up the to Grohman knives and asked if they would make me a vertion of the #4 survival in a 7" vertion. I was told they would do that and I think it cost me about 150 dollars 3 or 4 years back. If my memory is correct it took 21 days to get it from the day I was called back to see if I really wanted to have one made at there shop. I really like 7 inch blades. My main carry is the Project II plain edge. I also carry a 4" shadow III as my edc. I know some people do not like round handle knives as well as the more contured handles like the #4 or others knives but I do.

Take care,
Bryan

datsgor, cool colection. I am a huge fan of the estwing hatchets. Can't kill them. Whats the very bottom knife, the all black one?

Not sure what you mean by back "hatchet edge", however it's a good knife.. The knife has held up very well.. I don't use it much, but my students have beat the snot out of it, and it comes back for more.. I don't think theres a scratch on it.
