Eyebrow raising names in knife industry

Imagine carrying TOPS Anti Terrorism knife and someone asks you what knife are you carrying?

And then they ask you what terrorism are you fighting with it and how?

You'll probs feel silly...
When I get asked what knife I'm carrying, I usually just hand one to the person so he can see. (There are only a couple of people that ask ME that, and they're good friends.)
If a stranger asks, they're probably focused on the fixed blade - I'd probably just state the brand or say I don't remember the makers name (I'd probably know; but it likely wouldn't mean anything to person anyway)

That's right David, and us Knife Knuts know it - but for the uninformed and uninspired, it could seem weird.

Fair point. Actually I thought it was weird before I got one, and I think it was one of the reviews I watched where I learned that. Really nice knife, and I would get one again if it had an opening hole and tip down carry.

I will never buy a Pyrite because the name implies that you're a fool to buy one.
"Odium" just seems stupid to me.
"Heretic" will offend quite a few people.

And of course the kizer drop bear.

(I really pushed for Busse to name a knife that. Unfortunately never to be.)

A knife guaranteed not to be bought by your wife, as a gift, for you: Rogers Slim Line Utility Tactical: The SLUT

Also, the elephant<s> in the living room: Spyderco Military & Paramilitary-- Military-- not as bad, but Paramilitary can have some negative connotations, imho.
