The Bladeforums group on Facebook is a little short on members eh, I thought it would be a good one to join when I saw it but man it's dead !:(
 
Did not even know there was one- if you want a group check out the Lobby/resourse group thread in Canadian Connection- we are starting a Canadian group and would love you on our team!!

I fear the Facebook. If I wanted to get back in touch with the guy who threw up in my desk drawer junior year in college I'd track him down through our alumni newsletter. Also the bitter breakups throughout my youth don't need to rear their ugly (actually quite attractive) heads.

I'll stick with forums. They are more my speed. Sorry.

Agreed. No Facebook for me either. There are too many people in my past that I don't want to be contacted by. I've got some ghosts in my past and don't need 'em stired up.

Facebook? Is that the generic off brand myspace?

Myspace is the ghey, so I guess facebook would be like a cheaper off brand ghey?

For me, Facebook is another place one goes to harvest information. The powder is kept dry, and nothing is given away. Forums of some ilk are more a recreational thing for me.
 
Bleh, i'll stick to my foil hat and conspiracy theories. No facebook, myspace, twitter, skype, bebo or any of that for me. Forums is all.

That reminds me I need to get a new cell too many people have this number..........
 
I'll join. I just started a facebook about a week ago, and I've been enjoying it; there are all sorts of old friends and acqaintances with whom I've enjoyed reconnecting. As for people from the old days whom I'd rather avoid, I've found that FB is set up so that you can be pretty selective.

My only problem is that my students have gotten wind of the fact that I have one and keep trying to "befriend" me. Nope, there are professional boundaries; besides, I get enough of them on a daily basis already!
 
Didn't even know there was a facebook Bladeforums group... Facebook nowadays is slightly annoying; It's not the simple thing it used to be.

I'll probably join the group anyway :D
