Factory Edge Idea

Most factory edges are crap 40-50 degrees inclusive "wedges", convexed edges often being thinner but no sharper, and all require enormous effort to cut anything not propped up against a board... Just because most people have no idea what real sharpness is does not make it any less true that everyone who knows is not happy with them...

Gaston, you are in no position to lecture other people about edges on knives.
You have ruined so many expensive knives with your horrid "sharpening," and paid to have inappropriate edges put on knives that you then wreck using them for things the new edge is unsuitable for.
And then you blame the maker of the knife, including people who are well-respected for the quality of their work...

You are of course free to continue ruining your own property, but don't lecture others about edges on knives.

Most. So even you are not unhappy with all your factory edges. You and Alberta Ed have demonstrated my point that his claim that "Everybody is unhappy with their factory edges" is demonstrably untrue. Thanks.
