Finished up my yard work today. Got a real scare too. When I got over to my patio to rake up the almond leaves and dust off the bbq I noticed a hole in the plastic side table. Hmm, oh well maybe I pitched a rock with the mower. Nope. This is what I found in the leaves under the bbq...

Yep, that's a .45 bullet! Damn idiots on the fourth firing into the air. It went through the side table right above the propane tank and passed within an inch or two of it. First thing I thought of was my family and what if it hit one of us or the house. I got pissed for a minute, but then counted my blessings and finished my yard work. I'll snap a pic of my bbq tomorrow.

I just bought a lottery ticket today as well, so I figure I have to have some luck left.

Do you have plague ridden chipmunks out there like we have here in California? At the state parks up in the Sierra's there are signs warning about the chipmunks carrying bubonic plague.

No I don't think they have it here but you never know, there is always odd stuff like that happening here. I think some people here had the plague. Hantuvirus too, nasty stuff.
 
Thanks! I actually had to make some noise to get the deer to stop miunching on that stump and look up.

My garden is about 20 feet away but I have deer fence! Ha! They want my lettuce so badly...

Yeah I had to, this one is going to the equator. My chisel grinds are northern hemisphere only unless you live in the left handed hemisphere.

I think I may be dehydrated...

So here is the picture of the side table on my BBQ. You can see that it came close to the tank, but just as baffling is that it came through a very overgrown almond tree first. It didn't have much velocity because as you can tell it didn't deform too much when it hit the brick below.

Xander, wild stuff man, I'm glad that didn't hit that tank or any people. A .45 couldn't have been shot from too far away, wow.

I always try to make sure I'm actually shooting something when I shoot, lol.
 
Uuugggghhhh...why am I totally awake at 0600hrs? I didn't go to bed til after midnight just so I would sleep til 0800 or so.
 
Morning guys. Going to the dentist here, loads of fun. If I feel good after that I'm going to Farmington, NM army surplus to get a bunch of paracord... I love that store, it is the only knife "store" around except an actual mall ninja shop at the mall.

I'm supposed to get in some Kydex and a bunch of steel any day now. I can't wait.
