Daniel- Hope you made it out of the hospital with some rest! Our 2 day stint went like this: wait 16hours, give birth, baby about to nap, baby falls asleep, NURSE BUSTS IN TO TAKE HEART RATE AND TEMP>.. 2hours pass, baby begins to sleep, REPEAT NURSE INTRUSION.. pattern continues for 2 days.. end of 2days, we hated the f'ing nurses..

just keep that little sucker swaddled :D damn things roll all around! :)
 
So......are we going to see the baby Fairly's face before we see the illusive Daniel's face??? I'm pretty sure I know which one will be cuter!!

Will the mystery finally be solved, or are all Fairly's camera shy?!?
 
Well time is getting closer to me getting my new Daniel Fairly knife. I have decided to name this one the Sioux Warrior! I am Sioux and have a tattoo on my left shoulder that says Sioux Warrior. Just for a teaser it is going to be .36 thick 2 inches wide and a 8 inch blade with MCAM handle slabs.This is going to be a do all knife for the big woods up here. The only other cutting tool I will carry will be a leatherman tool.I can not wait to see how it turns out!!!!
 
Morning men.Welcome back to computer land Daniel.You will have to let us know how the first night home with Jade went.Always seemed like the first couple of weeks went good for us.We got lucky most of our children slept the night through until the teething started.My you youngest use to up chuck and could not clear it she would start thrashing so for her first year I slept with her on my chest.any movement and I was wide awake making sure she was breathing.talk about being scared and never leaving her with any one for the first year.
 
Morning y'all. Daniel, she is a beauitful little girl! Get some rest, you won't feel caught up on sleep for a long time. Maybe take a cuple days and nap when she is napping, that will really help.

Everything is going great! Neither one of us has slept much but that hasn't been too bad, I do want to get rested up and go grind! I have some coffee brewing right now though, it is 5:30 here and seems like midnight. Dr.'s appointment tomorrow, I bet it will go great!

Thanks! I have been trying to stay up late with Jade so my wife can get some sleep so that is helping for sure. Oh yeah... coffee!

Morning men. You have the parents secret drug figured out,COFFEE!!! I have been told they don't even talk to me till I have had coffee.......lol
 
Morning men. Daniel, I hope you get settled into a routine soon, then you can find time to get back in the shop. If momma is feeding natural, one position my wife found comfortable is to lay on her side with our son laying on the bed next to her, this way she could almost sleep while feeding in the middle of the night.

Heh heh!!! Coffee is the best! I have red bull for backup, lol! I have to drink coffee.

Great tip! Thanks! We were getting into a routine but wound up staying up all night last night in shifts. It was no big deal but we are both tired, we had a 9am Dr's appointment as well and Jade is doing great! The shop is calling and once the mild hallucinations from sleep deprivation and caffeine wear off it is on like Donkey Kong! :D :D :D
 
SWEET the grinding gets me pumped because I know my new one is coming up!!!! Glad everything with Jade checked out perfectly.Before you know it she will be running around every where!
 
Afternoon men. Nice and 50 degrees here. My youngest goes back to college today from spring break. Hard to believe less than 8 weeks and she will have her first year done.

I know what you mean brother. I pick my son up this Friday for the start of his spring break. I can't believe the first year is almost done.....although my bank account believes it...:D

Daniel, we who have children will try to help you out with tips and advice, but none of us are gonna feel sorry for ya! We all went through it! Just be glad there is no colic. I would feel a little sorry for you if she was colicy.

Hope you three are having a blast! I think the trippiest thing for me in the first few weeks/months was just watching my son sleep and then dream. Just wondering what such a young and new mind has to dream about.

Afternoon men.Mother in law went home today.Now time to get back to the norm around here. I go to the pain clinic on the 22nd to start my injections in my spine.I hope they help.
 
Best of luck Big! Living in pain is no fun, going on 14 years myself with varying degrees, the hardest part was working through it to lose weight to help keep the pain down. Hope the docs can do something for ya!

Thanks Xander!That is one of my issues I was a 265 lbs power lifter and when I injured my spine in the last year I have shot up to 300 lbs and I don't hardly eat anything. Been fucking with VA to get my narcotics.They expect you to be able to drop a dime and drive between an 1 and 3 hours away.Hope fully They come soon been out since Saturday.The pain is so bad I can not sleep more than an hour at a time even with prescribed sleeping pills.Enough about that shit! Looking forward to seeing a new knife from Daniel for me soon I hope!!
 
Damn BC, hope the light at the end of that tunnel starts burning brighter soon! Looking forward to seeing your new blade come to life, should be another good one!
 
Thanks Goobie!Tomorrow is when the state makes their decision on if I get a duty disability retirement.Hoping for things to go my way.I am retired either way seeing VA determined that I was 100 % disabled from my service connected disability that I got in the Marine Corps.
