Nice early birthday present! That'll keep you shooting for a while.

Had a slow day here - we've got about 16 inches of snow now, and plenty of drifting with the high winds. Did a partial dig-out of the cars and parking area earlier - only to get another 8 inches of snow later. Ah well. Schools are cancelled for tomorrow, and I take the train to work, so I can deal with it once the wind dies down and the white stuff stops falling tomorrow.

Have a great night, gents!

Morning!

I really just don't get how y'all deal with all that nasty white stuff. I am not built to cope with such conditions for very long. Usually just a day or so and if it's above 50°.

Anyways, I need to get some ammo to put in these magazines now! I have 3 boxes left, but they're hunting rounds. Hornady 120 grain SST. Stuff does a number on soft tissue!

Make it great fellas!!

Liam, that's a lot of snow! Best of luck with all!

Moving snow is no fun but snowboarding is probably my favorite sport.... I just need to get to the mountain more! My area is known for good skiing and sunny days but I wound up here on the north face at 7500 feet... I had no idea our weather varied so much throughout the county! 6" in Durango, 15" at my place and 18"just down the road... with 0" 10 miles south. I want to move closer to Durango! :D In Silverton up the road they get 50'-100' a season easily in the mountains. At least it is dry here so the cold does not get to you so bad.

Nice early B-day present X! pew pew! :D

My Dad inherited this huge box of ammo when I was a kid... waxed paper shotgun rounds. lol we shot those things for years, they always looked kind of scary

Shawn White's secret halfpipe in Silverton, CO. The other side of the same mountain is my go-to collection spot in the summer for Rhodonite, Rhodochrosite and a lot more. They show Silverton for just a second, I almost bought one of the first houses you see in the vid...

Got an early b - day present from the old man today, 5 new magazines for my rifle!

3 10 round and 2 5 round mags. Now I have enough mags for 3 full boxes of ammo. Wish I could have higher capacity mags out here but the politicians think 10 rounds is safer than 11 or more.

Just got home from work in time to watch the fight.

Make it great!

If you duct tape the together does that make it a 20 round mag????:D
I love the snow! why the hell do I live in Stockton again?.........Oh yeah, TACOS!
Have a great one y'all!

No Kevin, it doesn't work that way. You need to use proper milspec tape and paracord to do the conversion :p

But, one of these bad boy magazine holders would be fun...

Long tiresome day. Work, Gym, Chores and Workshop. At least I'll sleep well. I don't know how D can hand sand all day. My fingers are raw!

Ordered a watch. Gave in, gonna be a watch guy.

Hope you all had a fantastic start to the week!

I've been working like crazy on this folder... 4 days now. I had a dream I was working on it last night, lol.

You guys have a good one!

Morning y'all.

Busy busy busy this morning at work. Halfway through my week now, but it's going to rain for like 4 days over the weekend, so no fun outdoor activities for my birthday weekend.

Make it great!

Same here on the snow... also they seed the clouds here so quite often we get snow on Fridays only. Pretty wacky!

Nice looking knives you posted on FB Bobby!

This folder is trying to drive me nuts, I heat colored the frames and they both warped. Yesterday was a write off, I'll spare you guys the details. :barf: I've been straightening and sanding, it is even smoother now though! :D

Damn D, that's a shame to hear about the folder. Give it hell!

Thanks man! I can't seem to get everything perfect but each batch looks a little better than the last

They seed clouds out there? Don't you guys get ENOUGH snow? Haha!

I'm just really excited to have the frames lapped back to flat, I couldn't see the tiny warp even with my surface plate or starrret square so it took me quite a while to figure out the problem. I finally decided to pop out the detent ball, etc and lap them down, after 10 minutes it was back to super smooth and dead centered! :D fingers crossed because it is looking good!

That's all it takes, just keep at it and make each one better! Persistence is the key!

Yes, they had an article in the local paper about the cloud seeding... we are right on the edge of the desert too so the mountains create some weather on top of that. I want to go boarding again! :D :D :D

And I thought I had seen everything....(shaking head)

Daniel, do not under estimate the power of the claw hand.

Good morning Rolf! :D

Exactly FBC! wax on, wax off

I'm about to go grind and then hopefully hit the mountain for a few runs. :D

62+ RC D2 Steel... Full Flat to convex... check! Cuts draped phonebook paper 8" away from hand :D

Hold some phonebook paper out as if it were draped over a a paper towel tube... see if your knife will cut into it... how far away will it cut?

I need to work on my pic uploading situation.
