Fake/Clone Cold Steel 4-Max

Hi URSAMAJOR , Got my 4MAX back today!!! Everything is good, lockbar is level. Not bad, about 6 weeks.

Still waiting on mine. Did they contact you to let you know it was on the way, or did it just show up?

No contact.....Just showed up...... Same smooth bladelock , no notch.

I got an email with a tracking number - delivery was supposed to be today, but weather interfered with that. Hoping to have it tomorrow!
 
I shipped all the repaired knives last Friday. If anybody gave email info we contacted them,if no contact info was given I shipped to return address. Thanks for your support
 
Got mine back today! Looks great, functions great. Opens smoothly, solid lockup, no blade play, feels good in hand/no rubbing or hotspots from lockbar, comfortable to disengage Thanks for taking care of us Mr. Demko!
 
I received a telephone call with the tracking number prior to delivery. My knife arrived Tuesday and the repair is flawless! Thank you for handling this defect personally, Mr. Demko, despite the fact that it wasn't your problem.

And thank you, Cold Steel, for addressing the issue head-on and taking care of your customers. I can't speak for others, but in my case, your customer service was excellent! Please don't allow this glitch to dissuade you from future use of U.S.A. manufacturing. We (both the knife-buying public and the nation as a whole) need more American-made Cold Steel!

I received notice that my pre-order for the newest released batch has been filled so I should have mine this week. Very interested to see if the problem persists or if CS has it corrected at the manufacturer.
 
I asked my dealer to check mine before he shipped it and this is the email he sent confirming shipment:

"I had not heard there was a problem with the earlier batches.
I checked the lock bar on your knife before it shipped, and it was even with the backside of the knife.
Beautiful knife by the way. Thank you for your business."
 
Got mine today and it is perfect in every way. Looks like CS has the formula under control.
 
Mine came today too, and she looks awesome! Having to wait almost a year for delivery was hard, but worth the wait.







 
I just received my 4-Max , And It was a bit stiff, but expected it to wear in. Now, It won't secure itself closing the knife half the time without pushing the lockbar in manually until it clicks. Calling CS Customer Service tomorrow looks like. 62RM, Made in USA :(

Hopefully its something that can be taken care of without much issue. Kind of disappointing , because I really dig the knife

Mine had the same problem. I didn't want to deal with warranty so I sold it with full disclosure. I'm waiting for the Italian version. Terrible quality control on this expensive folder...

I'll see how it goes with their customer service department, because I do like the knife and am willing to give them a chance to make it right

I picked up two recently, and they're both great. I had planned on selling both when the USA versions dried up, but I might have to keep one. I'm pretty sure they're the latest build. There's no step on the lock bar. It's recessed its entire length. F&F is outstanding and they're RAZOR sharp.
