Yesterday, my friend and i did the 3 lakes trail near Orford Qc. Its a 4-season hiking trail with panoramic views of the chain of lakes Brompton, Lake Des Monts, Lake Fraser & Lake Simoneau, as well as Mount Chauve, Mount Carré & Mount Orford.

I love when this thread gets resurrected each year! For some reason, maybe because I live in the southern US and we finally get a reprieve from the heat, but I have always loved Autumn. The light of day is a little different, you finally get those cool crisp nights, but still enough warmth in the day, the turning of the leaves, the sun setting early enough where dinner time feels like the right time to be indoors.

The entire time of year just feels like you are coming home to a welcoming house where someone left the lights on for you and you can rest after your day's efforts. Summer does not have that same feeling, nor does spring, even though the temperatures are similar.

I wish I had some nice pics to share, but the ones I would choose are the same ones I posted last year in this same thread, linked here for anyone who might care:

Thanks for all of the new pics! Love seeing those beautiful knives with those fall colors in the backgrounds!
