Fall Beers- Oktoberfest/Marzens Anyone?

Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Ale comes out in the summer, but it's an awesome fall beer. Dark, rich and strong....like 9%-10%

I do not really know anything about beer. Here are the two I have been enjoying recently though.

New Belgium started selling their line-up (highlighted by the popular Fat Tire) here in Indiana back in April. It's pretty hyped up stuff, not bad at all, but I'm afraid it doesn't live up to it's reputation. I've bought it here and there, but there are better options available. We don't get Yuengling here in IN, but I'm sure to grab a couple whenever I'm in S. Florida for training.

The chocolate Bock is great stuff, haven't had it in a while, but I remember it fondly.

I've seen that in stores, haven't picked it up yet. I've got some dogfish head 90 minute IPAs I need to "get rid of" :D first. I try to keep a decent selection of a few different staple styles on hand.

Well, with summer winding down, I'm trying to drink all the hoppy IPAs I can because Fall switches over to the smooth, malty, nutty ales, stouts and porters. One of my all-time favorite brews is Shipyard Pumpkinhead. I really don't like a lot of pumpkin ales because they overload the palette with spice, but Shipyard Pumpkinhead is out of this world!

I love coming come on Fridays after a week of work to sit back with a couple of Pumpkinheads and a cigar.

I know of a great beer:D

I will give ya a hint...

Start's with a C......

Hofbrau Oktoberfest. Love it and get it every year. Doing an Oktoberfest feast next week, even though a lil early: schnitzel, brauts, kraut, spaetzel, etc. I haven't quite gotten the courage yet to make schweinshaxe though.....

Sam Adams is another good Oktoberfest beer.

I'll make sure come hell or high water I will try the Hoffbrauhaus oktoberfest:thumbup: good info!!
Thanks or as they say in germany "Vielen Dank"

Well, I've made it through a couple of six pack of Upland's (Local Indiana brewery from down in Bloomington) Oktoberfest that I bought early last week. Down to the last Upland, re-stocked the fridge this morning with some fresh Sam Adam's O'fest. Man, I hope this stuff will be as tasty as I remember, I really look forward to it every year.

Thanks OP. A friend of mine has been bringing me the Fat Tire from NC and I really like it. I haven't tried to find it yet. I hope I can because it is now one of my favorites. The other was a suggestion from my brother. I could only get three bottles of it from my friends store and he told me they only got in one case of it??? My brother is in Miami where he says it is on the shelves like jelly beans so go figure.
