Man, no trips for me til the end of October-another kayak trip. No backpacking for me for a while... trying some new arthiritis treatments and I have to take it easy. That and the new piece on my back needs to heal...

I'm going to have to figure out how to make one of these events fit into my calendar. I'd like to meet you guys (and gals). My best bet is to fly out the day before, pick up a rental (Jeep, preferably

That's 440 yards. If I need a vehicle to go 440 yards then I probably shouldn't be camping, no?

I left Extra Tarps with Mike along with my Tent , I think I might need one ground tarp for my tent and a small tarp for the boys tent and the extra's ( 2-3 tarps left over ) use as needed. :thumbup: I think I left 4-5 tarps

Are you a fisherman Mike? You know how the fish get longer everytime a fisherman re-tells a tale?
Although my arms would be longer by the time I carried 80 lbs of water that far (and my hair grayer.. )
I'm considering bringing my kayak and fishing stuff, but I tend to bring everything including the kitchen sink, and it takes me forever to get things packed into the truck, so I may not get it in.
We did see one guy fishing from the bridge nearby last time with a pretty nice stringer of crappie, but that was Spring Break time and the weather was a bit cooler.
