  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

**Fall Camp out** Sept 23-26

im getting excited. it looks like there is going to be a really good turn out

Ill be cooking some bratwurst for saturday night with a side or two.

Man, no trips for me til the end of October-another kayak trip. No backpacking for me for a while... trying some new arthiritis treatments and I have to take it easy. That and the new piece on my back needs to heal...

Don't forget...........It's creeping up fast!

If you have extra tarps and folding tables that you can pack we would greatly appreciate them. :)

I'm going to have to figure out how to make one of these events fit into my calendar. I'd like to meet you guys (and gals). My best bet is to fly out the day before, pick up a rental (Jeep, preferably:D) and make the event the next day. I WILL work on it!

Hell no. I CAN'T carry the water that far. I can't carry the water at all. Someone else will be doing that task.

:D I left Extra Tarps with Mike along with my Tent , I think I might need one ground tarp for my tent and a small tarp for the boys tent and the extra's ( 2-3 tarps left over ) use as needed. I think I left 4-5 tarps

440 yards in a moderately traveled, heavily potholed, 2 lane "blacktop" with no room to duck off onto a shoulder because the idiot fishermen are too lazy to park anywhere else is too far to carry 80 pounds of water....

Is anyone planning on fishing while we are there? i need to know whether or not i should bring my rod.

I'm considering bringing my kayak and fishing stuff, but I tend to bring everything including the kitchen sink, and it takes me forever to get things packed into the truck, so I may not get it in.

We did see one guy fishing from the bridge nearby last time with a pretty nice stringer of crappie, but that was Spring Break time and the weather was a bit cooler.
