fallkniven - general opinions?

From what I have been told FK used to put the country of origin on their knives. This goes back to when Linder Germany used to make knives for them and after they switched to Hattori Japan. I am of the personal belief that the reason that
the FK knives today do not have country of origin on them is because; (1) FK has military contracts, (2) FK is appointed
to the Swedish Crown, (3) FK knives are sold globally and Sweden being an EU member exports FKs to other countries both within and without the EU, and they are counted as Swedish exports. Just my speculation but one or all of these reasons would be cause to leave the country of origin off the knives. As for giving the Japanese credit, FK makes it no secret where they are made, and many knife enthusiasts have been aware that Hattori Seki is the OEM maker for quite some time. A fact incidentally that goes quite far in explaning FK's prices.
